Before owning my Xpole, I was goofing off doing something similar on a shower curtain pole once, but a barre is obviously more suitable and safe, lol. Last weekend, I just got to try out the lyra hoop, aerial sillks and an X stage; all of which are on my wishlist now, so the good review and link for these manuals are invaluable to me. Thanks!

It will be very interesting to hear the judges’ reponse to Steven. He is an amazing dancer that will no doubt drop some jaws. 🙂

Oh and these are really popular with tribal bellydancers and hoopers like Veena said so there are probably more on etsy listed under related names..

Hmm, those are a little overpriced (but not terribly)… I think I'll make some versions of my own and see what develops from there. I'm in the midst of starting an etsy shop anyway…

I've had mine slip a couple of times, but the humidity and temp fluctuates quite a bit around here, so checking it regularly has become a necessary habit.

The only brand of clip in's I've tried are Put On Pieces which worked well for me. I only use them on occasion for fun though, not everyday use. POP brand comes in both synthetic and human hair.

I am also having this problem (and have been since the site upgrade) and hitting pause does nothing to help. It doesn't seem to buffer the video at all. All videos on the site have become unwatchable no matter what computer I sign in with.

Thanks for clearing that up. Guess I'll just have to learn to not make forum replies before I'm entirely awake in the morning. Ha.

Do you mean problems with the web coding or socially speaking?

That video of Chelle was AMAZING! My favorite part was all the way from 1:00 to 1:20 and then of course again ten seconds later with that crazy split that looked superhuman. Does she have a gymnastics background? I ask one, because of her awesome strength and two because her body type and build reminds me very much of my younger sister who was in competitive gymnastics for ten years.

The only critique anyone in their right mind could ever dare give is perhaps more eye-ward engagement with the audience but most understandably, it appears she was probably just focused on catching her breath! Can't wait to see the aerial split video, I have no doubt that it will appear to be superhuman. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Joni, the Creative Core DVD is pretty inexpensive but if you want to preview it fully first, you can watch it legally and free here: http://www.hulu.com/watch/206159/yoga-for-everyone-creative-core-abs?c=Food-and-Leisure/Health-and-Fitness#s-p1-so-i0

Both velcro and magnets both come in varying degrees of strength. Obviously the stronger the velcro or magnet, the higher the price tag. Cute dance theme idea, btw!
