I just got my first Bobbi DVD ( Pole Grooves). I really like this DVD. I enjoy the style ,it is set up for tricks. There is a lot I cannot do but see working into along with my classes. Every trick given is like a small combo and it is broken down into beginning, interm, advanced- along with different outfit changes each time. LOL. It is two part in that it also has a lap dance section which wasn’t of interest to me but I definately need to get the Ultimatum DVD. I think this was done on a spinning pole which as I have been doing lessons I’ve become weaker on, but the idea is still the same. This is up there with the Be Spun DVDs to me. It was $40 plus more for shipping to the US -and plan to get the others. _ also I do not have Jamilla’s yet but hopefully for Christmas!

I’ve been after this DVD but can’t seem to find it here in the UK. Other thing that worried me was the fact they do everything on the 38mm pole so would that make a difference when you try doing it on the 50mm?

Let us know how it goes as you use it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

If you have a look on ISP lingerie website they sell pole dancing dvds, I believe they have the Bobbi’s dvds on there or you can get em easy enough direct from Bobbi’s website not sureon the web adresses just google em. I have got the second two Bobbi’s dvds they are very good. My favourites are Jamilla’s art of pole collection though.

Jamilla does a box set with moves on it and she’s just brought out a new DVD with routines on as well. Everybody I’ve spoken to who has seen the box set says it’s brill – you can buy the DVDs separately too.

The Jamilla dvds are the best you can get I reckon, they feature loads of moves from real beginner to advanced stuff like handspring and straight edge. All moves are broken down and explained really well, there are really good warm ups and body roll stuff as well andJamiilla’s fab routines at the end. She is lovely xx https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cat.gif

Hey everyone, I’ve been a big fan of Bobbi for years and I have all her DVDs. I wrote to her a while back about her poles and found she makes her own poles and she told me how to make them. I realized that because she is on a 38 mm pole that the grip is superior for spinning moves and for me, using the smaller diameter pole makes all the difference in nailing the moves. Check out my videos and you can see that I go to my 38 to do all the spin work. The pole was really easy to assemble – I bought two ball bearing flanges and brass tubing and that was it.

in regards to the different size poles the larger the diameter the easier it is to do inverted moves. I have a 42mm x-pole at home and at Bobbi’s pole studio i use the 38mm poles and the difference is huge even with just 4mm!

But the wider pole is great for learning moves as it is so much easier to grip

Kaki, I have a different experience with my 38mm. If I am inverting into a knee hold like scorpio, I find that skinny little pole tucks right into my ‘knee pit’ and my hold is SOLID. If I am inverting say into an aysha and using a split grip, my fingers wrap so tight all the way around it I know I am not going to slide, even a little. If I am doing a thigh hold such as a layback, I do have to sqeeze pretty tight, but I do that anyway. There is less ‘meat’ to this pole so thigh holds will feel different but are still completely do-able.

Veronika, there is a pole grooves and an advanced pole grooves. Ultimatum is the next one up and is more advanced and specialized in that it has a ton of pole split varieties, handsprings, and doubles work.

The only place I could find it for sale myself was http://www.dancepoles.com.au/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I was going to buy it first before I posted this https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif but the US exchange rate really sucks right now and I can’t justify spending nearly $50 dollars on one DVD, even a good one thats apparently out of print(?)

Veronika, if you get this DVD, please let me know how it is.
