if yall are looking for more shoulder exercises Veena has good shoulder and wrist exercises that i like to do. You can do them with light weights
-
hay Sissy, just a thought but in addition to your weightlifting maybe you can do "pull-ups" either on your pole or a bar at the gym. that may help you to continue lifting your body weight. …but i still hope you dont have to get surgery…keep us updated

Does anyone know if you can remove your video if you dont want it uploaded anymore like on youtube? For example, if I remove a video from youtube it can no longer be viewed right?? Do we have the same option here? Just wondering…. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif Any advice helps…I’m not really good with technology

awesome…thanks Veena. It helps to be able to use something around the house(you suggested soup cans) or up to 5 pound weights for those of us without gym memberships!! And your little baby bump is so cute https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif This is a big help https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Veena —> OOOhhh gotcha….which joints does it hurt? Do you think it would be the ones in the top arm (the twisty one)? I am guessing the shoulder, elbow and wrist?? Speaking of shoulders…can you post a link to your shoulder and wrist exercises..i cant find them. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
-
true. i guess it depends on how strong you are to begin with and how long you’ve been doing handstands but….safety first!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_clown.gif

thanks for the info b/c i was really wondering about that…for me it was the reverse grip poses that hurt my wrist for almost two weeks!! i had to ice it and take anti-inflams too https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif but like u said i dont think i was warmed up properly b/c now i stretch and warm up for about 15-20 min before poling and have no probs….but really…thanks for sharing and i will be careful with those TGs
-
i’m no teacher but i think just practicing regular handsprings on the pole first and then once i got that down i started the twisted grip..i did not do any other type of conditioning…i dont think you will either, but be sure to use a couch pillow or mat on the floor if you’re scared of falling
-
okay.. that’s great. thanks !!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

oops1 https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif I meant vertical handspring i guess like the twisted grip, cartwheel grip etc..
-
Yes. I can do the cartwheel and handspring mount…my next challenge though is the twisted ‘lift" I love it!!!! It makes you look so strong. My boyfriend saw me doing one of the vertical handstands and he was like "wow i didn’t know you were that strong". Pole girls rock https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
Here’s some of my fave youtubers doing the twisted lift (no kick)….enjoy https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Hay HAILHAIL,
You should totally go to classes even if its just a few classes to get you started. you will be in a class with beginners just like you and all the classes i’ve been to provide a very supportive and welcoming enviornment. plus it may https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif help you get through some shyness and maybe make pole friends https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif -
My question is that i have a 10 foot ceiling and want to be able to "dance" on the pole as much as possible. With the Lil Mynx I can only "dance" on 8 feet and the top 2 feet of the pole cant be used b/c it’s unstable. With the X Pole can I dance on all 10 feet of my pole if I put the extenders on the bottom? I know someone ready to buy my used Lil Mynx pole if I get an X Pole..but I want to know this first… I dont want to waist money. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

yes that’s right but dont forget to turn your back to the floor and use you abs along with push/pull arms to keep you balanced once you’re in the air…..have fun!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif I’m trying to get the twisted lift down(no kick)….anybody have any tips?
