do you use alcohol to clean it? cleaning brass poles with alcohol is VERY VERY bad. it strips the finish off of it and makes it very slick. the studio i go to has brass poles and there is alcohol there, but only for your hands. there are a million posters stating not to clean the pole with alcohol, but only with windex.

So, yes. I wanted to try a romper, but I am scared. I guess I could always return it. I have to try one or I will never know. I am very self aware of my no boobs situation https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif So I got these for right now! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
I don’t know Luvlee…they might work well for smaller breasts because I have a natural C cup and they don’t work for me at all https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif I have 2 really cute rompers…and they look cute on…unless of course I have to actually move in them…my breasts are just too big for them…and they are not huge breasts…only a C cup…they just don’t *stay in them*.
I can’t dance in the romper with being afraid of a malfunction…can’t invert – it was a waste of money for me. Not sure rompers work so well with larger natural breasts.
https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gifyou should try body tape! it’s amazing. it’s what j lo used to keep her famous dress on. i use it all the time for small things. you can pick it up at any lingerie store, and maybe even walmart.

Wow, thanks for all the insight ladies. I think the biggest thing for me is that we are both college students, and I feel bad taking another college students money, since we tend to be broke. But I guess I need to remember that he is pretty well off and that he sincerely seemed to want to buy it for me. Also, thanks polergrl I will certainly do that!

Ummmm WOW I searched "monokini" on amazon.com and this is what came up.

And the best part?? They’re all swimsuits! I would totally rock one this summer! MMMMM yeah soak up this pole dancin body, ooglers! And the "juniors" ones seem to mean "not thongs in the back" LOL https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

ugh..Maybe if she saw a video of you of what you would be doing or what you do on a pole she would understand.
i would just show up anyways and do the audition to show her what you mean. don’t let people put you out because of their close-mindedness and unwillingness to view things in a different perspective.
p.s. you are one of my favorite dancers on this site. i love your style. a lot.
-
what site are you getting them from?
-
i’m not looking forward to the first time i dance on a spinny pole, because i’m used to dancing on a brass pole and putting a LOT of momentum in to spins in order to get them to work on such a sticky pole…so i’m gonna go FLYING! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

also, i don’t know what to work on! it’ll be practice w/o an instructor, but i guess i will just work on moves i used to know and then try some new ones.

very cute boots! if the buckles are the same material as the boots, then it shouldn’t be a big deal. i have boots with laces up the front and they do give me problems with climbing, because the pole just sliiiiides on the laces, but a girl who goes to my studio uses "gimp" to tie hers up. i have a hard time describing gimp, so here is a website on it: http://www.gimplace.com/
it’s the plastic lace stuff that a lot of kids use for arts and crafts. they break easily but it’s really cheap and easily found at any walmart/crafts store. and it’s plastic so the pole grips it!
-
usually i have a hard time laughing at these, but the one where the guy is doing it and it starts to wobble and you see the woman run in to try to catch it was pretty funny. also i hate watching the one with the girl at the end because she is doing SO WELL and it all looks so pretty. she is smart in the way that she falls though, you can see her roll out of the way to keep the pole from hitting her in the head at the end. i think everyone should practice falling out of things, because it can happen to anyone on any pole. just be sure to secure it properly, as everyone has been saying, and know how to fall out of things and you will be safe.

I saw no point to it, and its hard to be offended by something so silly. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_shaking2.gif
is it wrong that I just wanted to laugh? Veena’s so right – and it’s human nature to do the opposite – granted I only got through about 1 minute before I turned it off. There is too much good that we share here to focus negative energy on something like that (though I know waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more easily said than done) so let’s try to laugh and just be totally grateful and appreciative of what we have built here! – heck, maybe someone should invite them to the site!! One thing I have learned and continue to learn, is that, no matter how dumb/ill-informed someone is, anger and spite, even in defense, never get you anywhere, excpet to exhaust yourself. She probably LOVES the negative comments.
Now, if I could only stop having to learn this lesson on an almost daily basis, I’d be in good shape! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif
I wouldn’t say that I was offended as much as I was….dumbfounded I guess. I can be really naive sometimes and to this day I still can get really amazed when I find out that there are still people in this world who are close-minded and not accepting of others sexualities, religions, race, political views, and opinions! At times, without realizing it I can be very kumbaya my lord, and think that everything is peachy keen in the world until I see things like this and it dumbfounds me and makes me realize all over again that there are negative people in the world. So I was sharing it more as a I can’t believe this than a I hate this bitch.

legs and lips baby!

Yep thats exactly what I did, then stood on the arm of the couch to put the dome on top. A tip though, make sure everything is within arms reach.. I had to perform some pretty outrageous gymnastic moves to reach the allen key to loosen the screwy bit while still holding the pole. Boyfriend was watching me on skype (with webcam). Slightly embarrassing! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif
hahah, how long did it take you on your own?

thanks ladies!
Hi Ariel;
I got mine in a plain brown box.
You couldn’t see from the outside what was in it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gifwhere did you order yours from?
