I know the wait sucks & is nerve wracking, so hang in there! However, Strip Clubs are constantly hiring, they never stop at a quota or specific # of girls, so don’t take the ad as meaning anything other than that at this point.

Give it another week, then call back & try to speak with a manager/gentleman who auditioned you if you can. Persistence is key 😉

Just as a precaution though, make sure you have a couple of other job options in the works, in case this doesn’t work out, better to be prepared jic.

That should be where you should go & what you can do…not who you can do lol

Oh no this is just so wrong. Did you sign a waiver/student contract that said that you can’t attend classes at other studios? Even if you did unknowingly, this is just wrong. No one has a right to do this. And to me, this is definitely harassment/bullying.

I would leave that studio & just do workshops & home pole, no one should tell you who & what you can do. That is your choice. Veena’s lessons are excellent & you can set up Skype pole jams with other veeneers or join the Flexines on Tues, Thurs & Sundays for morale, stretching, pole practice & motivation. We’re all here for you. Message me anytime if you need to vent.

And you can definitely jam with the flexines! All level pole levels are welcome. You can join & stretch &/or work on moves you have been working on & everyone helps, encourages & motivates each other. Think about it. 🙂

Flexines does group video chat every Tues,Thurs & Sunday! I have progressed quite a bit since joining the Flexines weekly to practice. We all stretch together, then pole together. Search for & like Flexines on Facebook, the times are posted there. Message Flexines for the log in info & password.

Also, many of us Skype with one another too, feel free to approach any of us on SV for a Skype jam, we don’t bite promise!

Flexines gather Tues, Thurs & Sun. Check out the Flexines FB page for times each week. Today, we are gathering @ 5 PST/7 CST/8 EST if anyone wants to join in…all levels are welcome. However, the Flexines chatroom does requires a password to get in, so message Flexines on FB for the password & log in info. You can also look up AdAstra who is Flexines administrator & message her for log in info. Hope to see you there today!

@luvlee even though its still hot in Vegas almost year round Sept-May is considered as “off season” in Vegas, so the pools close earlier than May(after Memorial Day)-Aug when they keep their pools open later.

XS also has poles in their club. But really Palms has some of the best clubs/bars in Vegas, nice eateries & a movie theatre, so you really don’t need to leave there, its pretty entertaining all on its own. Plus the expo has something going on almost every night of the expo, so I think that’ll keep you pretty occupied if you really don’t want to leave the hotel.

As far as what to wear around convention hall exhibits, I would say throwing on a sundress or jean shorts & top are fine. Usually conventions are pretty casual but as far as I know, only the gals who work the booths as models or reps really walk around in booty shorts & pole clothes in the convention hall. Remember too you probably wouldn’t want to be walking around outside of the convention hall or workshop rooms with your pole clothes on anyway, as there will be civilians staying at the palms too, so civilian guys & girls can sometimes be gawking creepers & douche bags, so having a sundress to throw over your pole clothes for when you travel between workshops is a good idea.

It’s always nice to catch a show or two if you can. Some shows that feature pole &/or aerial arts are MJ One, Absinthe, Zumanity, Peepshow, Le Reve, Ka. There are more than that of course but those are the main ones that us aerial community folks really seem to enjoy. And if you can get to Fremont street downtown one night & the Las Vegas strip to check it out, I think you’d enjoy that.

And I’d suggest bringing 1-2 more cocktail style dresses & one more pair of dress shoes. I can’t tell you how many times on the fly that I’ve been invited to a high end restaurant or to go somewhere I wasn’t expecting to go, where I needed to wear a nice dress. Especially in Vegas this happens ALOT.

You really should get your basic invert solid & make sure you can do it smoothly, safely & controlled (not jumping into it) before you move onto learning the v invert.

Do you have Veena’s lessons? Her lesson on the v invert is great. Also in the conditioning & strength lessons there are several exercises you can do to strengthen your core & arms to prepare for the v invert. Sounds like you need to work on building up your core & arm strength more first. The v invert is tricky & takes time to develop the strength for it & understand the mechanics that go into executing the move that’s when you will be able to get it. HTH!

Everything happens for a reason. You were in the right place at the right time and now this great opportunity is in your court. This is a blessing, don't throw it away. Sure risks and change are scary but it sounds like this is perfect for you and you will enjoy this job sooo much better than your current job. I say take a deep breath and take the job. Congrats!

Welcome! I also highly recommend Veena's lessons 🙂 Many the ladies here also do skype and google + pole jams, which are very helpful too for support and motivation. Just reach out to any of us and ask if they want to skype or google+ jam, none of us bite 😉 Also, via Flexines.net alot of us get together to stretch and pole jam on Tues, Thurs and Sundays if you are interested in joining us, private message me for more details 🙂

Check out funkypair.com they sell Pleasers & Ellie’s but I like their generic funtasma brand. I have a couple pairs of platforms from that brand that are pretty good, were a reasonable price & have lasted me 3 years! The funtasma brand are for my pole practices & my pleasers & Ellie’s I save for special occasions like performances/showcases or showing off 😉

I agree with Chem about diet being a huge part of weight loss. Exercise particularily cardio is also an important tool in weight loss. So if you can get treadmill time in, running, kickboxing and/or a live Zumba class in 3-4x a week, you will see better results.

Meme how cute love the name. I LOVE cats. I second the idea of toilet training your cat, my BFF trained hers & it saves a shit ton of money & saves you from smelly cat litter! If you google toilet training your cat, all sorts of resources come up!
