OMG I LOVE Charlotte Russe!!! Sometimes their shoes are buy one get the 2nd pair for $10. Did they have that deal when you got yours?

Georgia did you really have the "swine flu"????
Yes, it’s going around Brisbane at the moment – lots of people are getting it. It’s not as big a deal as the media makes it out to be though. it’s just like a super flu. Headaches, body aches, muscle soreness, light-headed, tired, nauseous, fevers, really bad cough, blocked or runny nose etc. It’s dangerous for babies or old people who are frail already – but any normal person can kick it off with normal flu meds, some bed rest, water and food – you know. Or at least they can for the strain that’s going around here. Might be different overseas.
Oh I know all about the swine flu, LOL. I’m a nurse and once it hit the scene in the news we were getting all kinds of briefings on it. We had to put up posters and put flyers out in the waiting room. Such a pain for something that isn’t that serious LOL.

So lesson learned…if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
That’s odd that your straddle just went back to normal when you stopped LOL. I’m glad to hear it though.
So uh….whatcha gonna do with those DVD’s now…. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif

When I first started climbing regularly the top of my foot was always bruised LOL. It takes time to work through that. I agree with Georgia too about working on the basic stuff first. Climbing was taught to me 3 levels in.
You have to crawl before you climb, LOL. Get it? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Maybe you’re gripping it too tight?
what kind of pole do you have? Is it a different finish then the one you used at the club?
My pole at home is chrome and I swing all around on that thing. The poles at the studio are brass and I have a harder time there because they’re stickier.

I love targets workout clothes lol. They always have such a good selection, not always as cheap as I’d like, but good stuff.
-
I had a hard time with the wrist sit when I first started because I wasn’t able to do a thigh hold yet. I was basically walking up to the pole, sliding my hand under my butt and grabbing the pole, then trying to just sit on my wrist that way LOL. It never worked and it hurt like hell LOL.
Once I was able to do a good thigh hold on the pole and lean back comfortably, the wrist sit happened more easily https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

If Charley doesn’t mind I can make one tomorrow for you guys…..I don’t want to do it if she has one all ready to go, that would be uncool. I think I might approach it a little differently, but I don’t want to bust in and take over. My new filp cam makes it super easy to post. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
I think Im going to get a flip cam. Can you edit on that thing too?

That KT Coates Swan Lake video is pretty classic for how tasteful pole dancing can be.
Lucy Misch has one to an overplayed sarah mclachlan song that’s pretty parent friendly. she even wears wings.
I’d probably show them that pregnant veena one.. with the norah jones. eheheh. can’t get much anti-strippuh than that. though personally, I think were I a man, I’d pursue pregnant women relentlessly.
Pregnant chicks are hot! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif

Hi New! Congrats on the invert. I think that’s what you were referring to https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
Climbing (and pretty much everything else in pole) is not as easy as it looks. Believe me! Climbing requires upper body strength as well as lower body strength. It does use the top of the foot and that definitely hurts at first. As you progress you’ll find it easier though https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
Do you take any classes?
-
Don’t show them my video! LOL, j/k
But seriously…I’d tell you to youtube some of the pros but you can’t and I can’t right now because I’m at work or I’d totally look some up for you.
I’ll try to find some when I get home if I have time. I believe Veena has a lot of "clean" vids… her march challenge vid comes to mind…

It kind of looks like a running skirt. You could probably find them wherever they sell dance clothes or like workout gear… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

Thanks girls!! I did write her an e-mail asking her why she stopped talking to me, and she did give me some BS excuse, but for the sake of not loosing a friend over something so silly, Im going to try and let it go… if she continues to act like this… do it once shame on you, do it twice, shame on me… I’m going to give our friendship another try even though her reasoning was bull… let you all know how it goes… and BTW, she posted a comment after mine saying "yeah she is, and i couldn’t have done it without her"… THATS RIGHT BITCH!!! j/k https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_compress.gif
LMAO!!!! You punked her!

This is really helpful for me, too – Sissybuns, my knee pits are resisting as well! I’m having a hard time figuring out if maybe my placement is off or if they are just weak. I try to work on my gemini consistently but I am not seeing the progress that I want – I am glad that I’m not the only one! I practice it using my hands to support, and am hoping that with time they’ll build up to where I can let go.
Me too little C!
Thanks Veena and Jenn! I’ll try those things to work on my pits! That sounds funny! LOL

OMG that lady in that picture is beautiful. She has a real natural pudge and it’s adorable! It looks just like mine!!!!! I can’t explain how happy I am to see this in a magazine like Glamour! If only more magazines would show pictures of "real" women.

No more pregnancy for me, but congratulations to both of you! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Pole is hard petite. Those darn pros make it look so easy.
They decieve us into believing that we can put our pole up and be busting out all kinds of advacned moves by the next day!
You’re not alone at all! You’ll get better and better, just have fun! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif
