That’s great!! What are the proposed times for the jam (or did I miss that part?)? I don;t want to rsvp yes and then find out i can’t go. Of course I’d be willing to help defray the $90 – we could just split it evenly between whoever is coming?

Hi guys,
So I just called xpose and I’m ready to go ahead and schedule the party but there is one teensy item that I want to discuss and that’s the rental fee for the party. It’s going to be $90 (non-refundable) and that fee does not go towards the party, it’s a seperate charge to rent the space and has to be paid at the time the party is booked so I’ll have to go ahead and pay it when I book the party.Per person it’s going to be $30 each (for 3 hours, if we have 10 or more people which I’m sure we will) and I’m checking to see if you guys will be willing to pay a few bucks extra to reimburse me for renting the space…

I’m not going to pay $90 bucks for 3 people. We can pole at my house instead, LOL.

I don’t know about where you live, but Craigslist often lists free mirrors from bathroom remodels. You just have to be able to transport a big piece of glass.

But, if you’re good to go….then I would get a mental picture of what you want to do first. It looks like you’re already do that so the next thing is to practice it and get it all figured out step by step. You have plenty of time to make up a dance so find the fun in it. Do moves that you’re comfortable with in the routine so it will be all fun and you won’t be a ball of nerves worried about nailing moves you’re not 100% comfy with.
Remember to have fun fun fun! This is such a cool thing that your studio does, I wish I could see you all perform!

Hey Sissy that’s a good point – my only concern was depending on how many people come in and from how far away(ie: they might stay the weekend), I’d be worried they might be stuck at the hotel with no transportation when not carpooling to/from the Pole Jam – so being at a hotel near metro would allow people to be mobile and downtown, or near it (Christmastime downtown is gorgeous! Esp the set up in front of the White House).

There’s actually a hotel right next to it now that I think about it LOL. Springhill Suits. It’s walking distance to the studio and just a few miles from my house. I wanted to add that since we’ll be doing the jam at Xpose, it’s not in DC (so I guess it’s not technically a "DC" pole jam anymore LOL) so you would be closer if you flew into Baltimore. That airport is just 10 minutes from me and about 15 minutes from the studio. I can give you a ride Kari if you stay near the aiport or in Hanover.

Arundel Mills doesn’t have spinners. Her # is 410-382-1735. This is a ways from DC though. At least an hour and fifteen minutes.

If you saw the youtube video of me doing it I was just walking into it without any momentum…that’s not the way to do it right LOL.

I explained to them that we don’t need an instructor. Just the space and they understand that. The location I’m in talks with is the Arundel Mills location and I’ve been talking to the manager Hope. I don’t think you need to contact her, unless you just want to and that’s fine too.
