well hello there! new from london
Hi! My name is Lily and I’m from london, uk. Just graduated from uni in philosophy! I have a small amount of dance experience, but new to pole dancing.
I think girls who do it look amazing and…having had a pole in my room for the past couple of weeks and not knowing what the bloody hell to do with it (short of trying to spin around and falling in an ungainly heap on the floor) has given me sooo much respect for you lot! How DO you manage it??
I’ve bought a monthly membership for veenas lessons now, gonna start tonight so hopefully will improve with them (before I was just following vague, blurry youtube vids)

Welcome!
This site can be what you make of it. Some post progress videos, some just use the forum or blogs for ideas/help/support, many do the chat on fridays (I think that’s when it is, I always forget when it is going on), and many do Veena’s lessons. In general there is no set norm of what to do, at the most basic level it is support and be supported by your fellow polers. -

Seriously, the lessons here are excellent. I’ve picked up moves that I couldn’t achieve from other instruction.
A philosophy grad, eh? Congratulations, that’s a tough program. I’m a Comparative Literature, Modern Languages grad. One of our profs studied under Derrida, so we couldn’t get away with any kind of b.s.!

Hipshaker: where about in london you based?? I’m south east, its so funny because when you live in London you always thinkits a big enough city to be anonymous but I BET we share about one mutual friend on facebook/myspace or the like….the world is stupidly small sometimes it never actually ceases to surprise me.

Sissybuns: Thank you my dear. I actually have posted a video, I did it this morning…its not very good, but I enjoyed it! sadly being a philosophy graduate hasnt led on to too many job oppertunities which leaves me with plenty of time at homewith my pole. And camera. So hopefully Ill improve.
