I think I said this before in a different thread…but all your man wants is to see his sexy ass woman dancing half naked around a phallic object…which he hopes will lead to earth rockin nookie! So while everyone on here completely appreciates the dedication you have to pole and know you want to pull off some bad ass moves for him…he probably dosen’t see it the same way that we do. There are very few moves that make my hubs really go "wow" and they are usually dramatic like drops or spinning scorpio. Now he appreciates what pole has done for my body and sanity but really all he wants to see is a g-string and boobies! lol

But as everyone else has said…I would say go with B…it’s better to look confident and smooth in your movements!! You’ll do great! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

FYI…I believe USPDF uses PS SS poles! So you can’t say chrome is the standard for comps…I think it’s going to depend on the venue and who is hosting!

so since we are being very open with this discussion…I got a coupld of questions…

    1. does it fit in somewhat like a diaphragm?? (Couldn’t be fitted for one..see below hehe)
    2. how do you know if it’s in right?
    3. What if you have a tilted uterus? which causes the vajajy to be extra long? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif lol as in…even if you wanted you couldn’t find or reach your cervix???

I find these interesting and would be willing to give it a shot…but don’t know if it would work out…

btw..i ran by walmart at lunch time and they have the Instead softcup brand…I opened a box (dont’ worry they were individually wrapped and sealed) and yikes!! those have like a 2.5" diameter…and they aren’t very flexy…that kinda scared me! lol https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_tongue.gif

Jenyne actually taught this combo in one of the workshops I took from her. Once you are in the apprentice you have to weave your leg b/n your arm and the pole then flip hips to superman! or if you can do apprentice with one hand (hero) then you can just move your hand then flip hips to superman!

I’m going to have to be the odd ball! I don’t know how I feel about it moving to that point…this kinda goes back to the sensuality thread. If pole dancing where to hit the olympics you can kiss hip rolls and crawling around the floor goodbye….and no more stilettos! *sobs uncontrolably* lol I love the strength and endurance that it takes for us to pole and the huge amount of artistry that goes with it. However, if it were to make it to the olympics it would be treated the same as gymnastics…and personally the thought of 14 year olds being the "ideal" pole olympian kinda creeps me out! When I think pole I picture Jamilla, Felix etc…not some young kid. Of course I would support it if it ever got that far but honestly I don’t think I want it too! I like having that sensual and intimate bond with my pole, heels and booty shorts! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif As of right now we have a choice if we want to do pole dance or pole fitness (big difference in my eyes) but if it became a legit olymipic sport than any and all governing bodies (ie USPDF, IPDF etc…) would taylor their requirements and teachings per olympic standards…which would eliminate the "choice". For example Gymnasts and figure skaters train per standards that could potentially get them to the olympics…they test through different organizations that layout requirments that ultimately are passed down from higher organizations. For the most part they don’t just do their own thing…know what I mean?

    Anyways sorry if I strike a nerve… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I must admit that I am obsessed wth http://www.operationbeautiful.com! I am a confessed poster! LMAO! Telling unsuspecting women that they are beautiful somehow makes me feel more beautiful!

    Anywho….

I love my skin/complextion (casper white w/ freckles and damn proud)
    Love my bone structure
    Love my shoulders
Love my back (love all the muscle definition)
Love that I have an hour-glass shape which is fairly proportional
and this one is kinda weird…but you know that area between the girls (sternum)? well…I like that area! lol

    love Remi Martin!

Anyway, go ahead and label me!! I love pole dancing because it is sexy and sensual! It’s great fitness..but honestly that’s not why I started. I wanted to recleaim the sensuality I thought that I had lost! It allows us to move our bodies they way they were intended…fluid and curvy! Yes I sway my hips when I walk and I stick my boobbies out! I love dancing in undies and a bra and most of the time in some 7" heels…gotta love em! But there are times that I love to dance barefoot…makes me feel so connected to the earth…which is sensual and emotional! Why ignore it and pretend it’s not there?? I don’t! If I could I would love to study all of the best exotic dancers out there! Why? because they move like lava flowing down the mountain side! So smooth and sureal….but with a lot of force!!

I love this thread! I have always been the "black sheep" of my family in terms of how I view sex and sensuality! It is why we are here…and how my two gorgeous kids were made! I celebrate it everyday!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Anything that can be lifted into like the tg lift, sm lift even just lifting into an invert…it takes crazy strength and control!!

I think the easiest way to do it is to…

    1. place bottom hand as close to the floor as you can
    2. place top hand into twisted grip position
    3. turn hips to face the ceiling (feels like your doing a back bend)
    4. Kick up

now…I think doing it this way allows you to get the feel for what your body is supposed to do and since your hips are already facing the ceiling they naturally get into the right position. Once you can kick up from here then repeat but move your hands a bit higher up the pole..rinse repeat until you are standing when you go to get into the move..

I actually used this same method when I started working on lifting into the tg! It sounds kind of elementary but I think it really is a great way to get started with the tg…and your not far off the ground so no real danger or crashing!

I actually believe that it isn’t the person who pole dances or is in the sex industry that is exploited…it’s the consumer! I mean seriously what other industries can you manipulate people into paying you so easily….I don’t think it’s a bad thing…it’s great business. But I also think that there are responsible and irresponsible ways to conduct it.

I personally love knowning that if there is something I want to do or buy all I have to do is work my dance magic on the hubbs! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Is that wrong? lol

I think it takes a lot of confidence and strength to get on a stage (or set) and sell what you got…

I hate the talk about it being demeaning and such….and the same goes for the talk about women who are stay-at-home moms.. Isn’t feminism about women having the choice to do what they want? If I want to dance on stage or stay at home with my kids…who cares! Sorry if this seems random but I get my "panties in a knot" over this topic

I think for some men it’s like we are taking their fantasy away when we start pole dancing…don’t get me wrong I think most guys would love to have a gf or wife that pole dances…but say for the guy who likes to occasionally go to the strip club (because he thinks he is being bad) to watch lovelies dancing around a pole, having a pole at home may lessen the "naughty" aspect.

Does he not like strip clubs either? What part dosen’t he like? the sexiness??

have you tried the outside leg hang climb (not sure what it’s called)??? that one is a killer for me and works both sides!

    1. chopper on the right side, hook your outside leg
    2. pull yourself up (hand above your hooked leg) as if you were trying to get into apprentice
    3. now you’re on your left side
    4. chopper on the left side
    5. repeat til you’re at the top!

I’ve been seeing this more and more lately and it’s on the top of my list of stuff to work on when my cast comes off. I just saw runnergirl do it in her newest vid and my jaw was on the floor the whole time.

I believe it’s called a spider climb…and it is killer. But it’s great for keeping both sides of the body strong!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
