I just went and looked at it again…there are 47 lyra lessons.  I guess that's more than several.  It just seems like a drop in the bucket compared to how many pole lessons they've got up!

There are several lessons on Pole and Aerial but not a whole lot.

I do much better at evaluating a situation and troubleshooting if I can actually see what's going on but here's what I'm thinking….

Make sure you are not hanging by that top elbow.  There should be an even push/pull between your elbows and back.

That would depend on what type of ceiling you've got.  This website has helpful info on the subject: http://aerialessentials.com/videos.htm

Well, I didn't win this week either.  Those cool points are going to rack up quickly though!  Let's try this again. 🙂

Why have more dubstep challenges when you can just use dubstep for any challenge that isn't music genre specific?  Dubstep challenges just make me not want to participate in them.  I'm sure there are some songs out there that I could tolerate but I don't really have the time to spend looking for them….it's hard enough to find time to shoot the video!

I bought a pair of the BK go-go shorts a while back but couldn't wear them.  I apparently have more butt than they were prepared to cover. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif  Being "cheeky" would have been the least of my worries if I had worn those shorts!

Thanks Charley! I’m trying to get a large group from my studio to go and the low costs will certainly help make that happen. 🙂

Am I reading right that tickets for the whole weekend are only $50?  Or is that the performer registration price?

I love the 2 1/2" shorts and sports bras from Funkadelic Sports!  They've got a bunch of cool prints and they are super nice too.  I started carrying their products at my studio so my students have a place to get fun pole wear. 🙂

JAK, that's really pretty!  But it looks to me more like an extreme Lady Garden than the Orion.  It's my understanding that in the Orion your legs are in line with the pole instead of out to the sides, right?

This is such a hard question to answer!  Batwing!  No – U-bend!  I don't know….but the one I always go back to is shoulder mount.  I love all of the moves that come out of it (brass monkey, shoulder split, shoulder dismount, flip, etc).

I would think for it to be an upright Allegra you would have to have the arm that is grabbing the foot/ankle on the opposite side of the pole.  This move doesn't require the back flexibility that an Allegra does.

Not sure about the first one.  The second one looks like Jenyne's Tick Tock split only she does it with the gripping hand inside the leg.  I believe I've seen the last one you posted referred to as the Bud.

But I suppose you could do opposite side leg coming down and then you wouldn't have to take that hand off to adjust the legs.  You'd have to readjust it higher at some point though….

I think the problem with starting from a wrist seat is that both of your legs are above a hand, meaning you would need to take that hand off the pole and place it above you as you brought one leg down.  But because of the way that hand is basically doing all the work of holding you up you would most likely fall totally away from the pole.

Hmmm…I'm thinking pole split, then pull both legs in towards your body as you lean your torso away as far as your arms will let you.  For Anastasia's version you'd also have to take the bottom foot off the pole – the weight of your torso leaning away should pull it out.  Both gorgeous!  I'm going to have to try this soon.  Thanks for posting it!

They make controllers that will let you select the amount of fog that comes out and how often.  Also, you can run it through a "fog chiller" that makes the fog heavy and keeps it low to the ground instead of rising and filling the air.

Chillers typically have to be made, though.  I don't think I've ever seen one for sale.

Sweet!  I'm hosting a Halloween showcase for the students at my studio so I may just do a dress rehearsal for that performance and use it as my challenge video. 😉
