I don’t take lessons yet , I’ve had my pole for a few weeks and am using the studioveena lessons, dvds, and youtube for now. I am also not inshape but am doing things I couldn’t when I started. You could kind of say I’ve been going slow.
How often are your lessons??? I want to start when I can take twice a week. Right now, I if I pole 2 days in a row the second day is crap. I find that first day is when something new is happening.

I checked the web site out and am considering this also. It nice to have something you could do with your kids. It seemed like a lot of the color choices were sold out:( I will follow up after and let you know how it goes.

I like saving abel (addicted), rihanna stuff, both versions of lollipop, that never too late song from 3 days grace. ne-yo, only you by ashanti , I started an expanding playlist on my ipod/itunes. There is another one I can’t find out what is is and have heard it before and then also saw it on a vid on itunes and now I can’t find that video! SOOOO frustrating.

I joke with my husband all the time that I have to practice for the chance at my dream job as a pole dancer as the economy is going bad or if I lose my job….I have to prepare. The only thing I know I didn’t like the idea of was the club I went to.. the girls had to come out flirt HEAVILY and sit on people’s laps regardless. Hopefully you’ll find a great place that doesn’t have to include all that. Hope all goes well for you and you find your way through it.

My child is visiting her father out of state for the better part of the summer and is young. She has the flu right now and I miss her. It’s a good thing she is supposed to be coming home next week. I love this poem. thank you

I really wish she’d come out with another recent u tube vid. There was one 2 months ago.

I have popcorn ceilings and was found while putting it up only 2-3 very small crumbs came off, I have not removed it yet to see but I can tell the ceiling appears to go up as the pole is tight against the joist on the other side. My husband is worried sometimes that it will tear part of the edge around. I told him don’t worry I’d pay for it. LOL

I remember when my daughter was only a couple weeks old playing around at my sis’s house balancing on my tip toes while kinda compacted crouched in front of her while she was sitting on the couch ..we were messing around and all she did was tip me back with one finger and I went falling backwards unable to catch myself or prevent it from happening and completely fell and landed on my back. My core muscles were none. I wish I was into poling then, I bet I would of gotten into shape better and more soon. How often new mothers forget to take a little selfish time to do that kind of stuff. You’ll be a strong mom.

This is me again! just wanting to keep it in view!

Mine came pretty fast, but am still waiting for a little man help. Hopefully this weekend to put it up.
I can’t get over how professional it looks and its not even up yet!

This may sound extreme but my mom gets sweaty hands and upper lip…..anyway she has this roll on perscription stuff that seems to last over a few days. Note- has not been tried with pole dancing.

I have started a nightly light stretch. I start with the obvious light stretches and then i put one leg up across on the top of some chairs which makes my leg straight across and hold it and lean into it and straighten too. I’ve gotta start doing the back one the back way with the other for standing.
I’m doing this at work when no one is watching. Its time convenient there , I’ll have to reserve the actual stretching anything that looks like the splits for at home.
Any other creative ways for me to start trying for the splits?

for clarification and curiosity… I am thinking x pole/removable but in the office, then reason i mention permanent is if I have to keep putting it up and down it would take up half the available time for poling. I work at overnight, sometime double shifts. I work a man of the house type job while still trying to cook some and take the girl to school and pick her up. Did I mention half the time I wake up and take a 6 hr energy shot just to get going. blah, blah, blah sorry for the lame part. The pay makes it a little more worth it once the furloughs go away and at least there is a job, right?
Thanks for the support and advice. I have showed my 7 year old a video of non sexy , sport clothes wearing, athletic type. I asked her what she thought, she said "cool!, How do they do that? I told her ,"they work their muscles and don’t watch too much tv!" I also mentioned as a little girl I used to be able to twirl around the different bars in the school yard and she knew what I was talking about. I do not doubt some of my fun of this is remembering back when.

Wow! i love this web site!!

Thanks for the advice. I’ll need to find the time but… you’re right moves do look better when there is more flexability. When I was young I walked on my tip toes d/t tight heel cords. I just never pushed further. thanks again!!

Hi- new here! I am very new to this and am about to get my own pole. I started buying dvds and I have a few, including leigh anns box set. I saw on utube first. I loved the style of it and came to really envy the touch of limberness, I am a huge fan. She does awesome tricks and has a unique hair flip, knee bend hip combo. Also in the dvd has someone else well known that I can’t remember at the moment." miss sexy"? I remember from a utube competition vid,i think. inspires me
