I really would love an r pole but with that price tag there's no chance. They do competitions to win one on the website, but you need to have acess to one to win one. One day *sigh*.

I know for a fact that many guys find them sexy and they are seen as desireable on a woman in some cultures! I'm pretty sure that Okapi isn't worrying about why it has stripes on it's bum!

It's the UK inter University competition. That would be amazing, perhaps we can arrange a time to be on SV chat? x

I am COVERED in them. I was a UK 16 at age 13 and aquired a lifetime's worth of them. I've learned over the years to love my stripes. Afterall, my favourite animal, the Okapi, has lovely stripes on it's legs so why can't I?!

    Hello all,

I'm bringing this old thread back because I was wondering if anyone would mind helping me with my choreography for the comp I've entered, I have a few ideas but I've never done a full length routine before.

    Much love x

You definately need to show him that pole aint easy! I'd like to see Leno dance as gracefully as you Lulu!

Also 'the ratings drop' hahaha you NEED to do that.

Thank you for the advice, there are some brilliant ideas on this thread!

StarryEyedGirl: that sounds like a really good way to condition for it, I do think I have slight issues with my arm position I think I'm too 'press-up' like and not enough 'handstand' like. So I will definately be trying that.

PolefitFanatic: I read lots of threads on the forum and the general concencus was that it's better to get elbow grip first, otherwise it becomes difficult/unattractive to perform compared with forearm grip. So I thought I'd take on the challenge.

Thank you, I'm really excited to try these out. x

Runemist, if you do it I will do it. I've been meaning to do one and it would really motivate me if I knew I'd see one from you!

    Hi beauties,

Yeah I've read Amy's but I might go back to it again. I think the cold damp weather isnt helping either. Thank you for the ideas! xx

I'll def. have a look at blondebird's vids! I thought this looked super dangerous how it is done in the vid I posted. Glad to know it can be controlled.

@ Mighty Grip – I use your product on my hands but I haven't found it to prevent calluses, however, I will have a go using it more frequently in a workout and see if it does help. Cheers.

    Hello there!

Funnily enough I was looking at flying out to Linz then going up to Salzburg for a holiday this winter, but money is too tight.

I think I've found a kindred spirit as I am studing an MSC too in bidiversity and conservation and I have a interest in conservation genetics. Sadly this is not where the jobs lie.

Rocking the pole only till you're 30? Girl! The ladies here rock it LONG after that.

There should be a chat stretching session tonight if you are interested. x

I find cutting out tea and coffee shrinks my belly (an average cup of instant coffee with milk can have 50 calories plus) and replacing with green tea or herbal tea (I don't like herbal tea much though) or water.

I eat a lot of veggies, fish, chicken and rice and, although I go through phases of 'bad eating' , this seems to maintain a slim waist and slimmer hips. I tend to carry weight on my hips so I mention them here because of that.

I really like stir fry with just a little oil and lots of kale, veggies and brown rice, I put in plenty of garlic and ginger (good for your metabolism), a little cumin and corriander as well as some light soy sauce. I feel full for ages after and it's pretty healthy.

I often freeze bananas whole (skin off of course) so I can get them out when I get a sweety craving.

Unfortunately, as a former fat girl turned anorexic, now recovering, I have to force myself to eat full fat foods. I know far too any unhealthy ways to lose weight.

Stay healthy, I always feel that if you are limiting your diet to a point that you feel constantly unhappy it is probably not doing you a lot of good and less likely to succeed in the long run. xx
