In the UK there is an inter university pole competition in London. I'm thinking of entering but I've never done anything like it and I've been off my pole for nearly a month now because the extensions are stuck and it's too high for my ceiling (ordered a new pole but not sure how long it will take to get here).

I know I could potentially enter intermediate or advanced but I feel a little intimidated by that, I was thinking maybe I could enter the beginner's catagory and just have some fun with the choreography?

Not sure if I have the guts but it might motivate me to get back on it!

You should do it! Choreographing and practicing for a performance definite adds a different twist to your pole practice. It's a good experience and I find it really helps me refine my moves, transitions, etc.

Are there guidelines as to what the different categories mean or what type of moves you need to perform for the categories?

    Good luck!
