lol! i know i’m not ready for inversions yet! lol! i didn’t climb the pole when i sat on it, i just did it at the level i could reach from standing flat footed <3 i figured it something i will need to be good at in the future so i should get used to the pain & adjust asap! when i get some $$ i wanna get the art of pole set &&&& take the lessons on here too! i should be getting a new computer soon… i hope anyway!

i forgot to bring my camera to work with me so i can’t upload my embarrassing video today https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif but i can say its really ugly y’all! lol! i watched it several times last night trying to compare the better moves to a pro so i can correct myself & try to make things look better next time. i have only tried to sit on the pole, the fireman spin & one other spin that i can’t remember the name of. i am really trying to get these down in both directions, toes pointed, body held out & all before i move on to anything else. & OMG! my upper arms are so so sore! i have a bruised knee & ankle (not sure how i managed that one) i have pole burn on my inner thighs, && my leg muscles are sore too https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif i’m very happy about being sore since i wanted to pole for a workout! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif i usually workout on a elliptical trainer & a water rower 5 days a week, since i got my pole i haven’t done either one of those & i have only been (attempting) to use the pole. since i am super new & have no idea what i really should be doing i have been spending about 2 hours at a time on the pole, watching the video clips of my two moves that i am attempting & doing them over & over again until i feel like i have them down a little better than the day before. i am right handed & it really shows in my pole work! i don’t trust myself very much going the other direction, but i am making myself do both equally so that i don’t get used to just going in one direction. it gets on my nerves when i see others do that! also i have not worked on getting up off the floor at all! after i spin to the ground i get up like a jack~ass! lol! i really need to look at some clips of that sort of thing too!
i have so much to say about poling & i’m not really sure where to post at so i keep posting everything here, since i started this thread i figured i would just keep adding to it. -
i have only been poling for two days & i can already sit on the pole https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif it hurt like hell though! lol! i did it 3 times yesterday & now my legs are so damn sore its not even funny. i can’t do much, but i CAN sit on the pole & get pole burn!

OMG! day two, hour four & i sat on the pole https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif it was sloppy & i slid after about 3 seconds but i did it 3 times & let my hands go. i know thats pretty basic but i’m really proud! i also made a (really embarrassing) video of myself playing around doing god knows what on spin mode. i have no idea what i was doing, its really sloppy & i’m singing & being silly oh & i say a few cuss words in there so i’m not sure if i’m allowed to post that on here… i don’t wanna get kicked off ’cause i need y’all for supportive reasons, lol! i’m gonna find out about posting it with my potty mouth & then hopefully i will be posting it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

they actually had said "allow 3-6 weeks for delivery on custom stainless poles" but they said it usually is closer to 3 weeks, thats why i called. i was just getting curious & excited! it can take longer for the custom colored poles depending on what you get. i ordered on june 22 & i got it on july 21 so i feel that they held up their end considering its a small business (just 4 people running it) & one of the guys mothers passed away at the end of last month. i also run a small business so maybe i am just really understanding on timing issues, idk. i would totally recommend them to anyone who asked. everyone there is so so nice & the pole is nicer than any others i have seen. not to say that others are not nice too, but its very heavy duty && feels like its made really well! the flanges are a metal & a thick metal at that! they appear to be very durable! oh & it has 12 bearings, so it goes super fast! up to 16,000 RPMS!!! && the pin is not a little dinky pin that will fly out or break off. its a thick bolt that secures & doesn’t allow the pole to wiggle at all! like i said i am so very happy with the quality of my pole, it was so worth the wait! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_colors.gif

i got my first bruises tonight && i feel like a real pole dancer now! lol! i know it’s silly but i really do! it’s like "look at MY bruises! i got them from pole dancing!" lol! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif i wish they weren’t on my ankle though because its already a sensitive area so i’ll bet its gonna hurt like a mofo tomorrow when i accidently hit it again. oh well, it’s well worth it!

PS i wore 2 pairs of leg warmers after i hit my leg so i didn’t get any more after that… i only wish i had thought of that first, lol!

if you have a "Home Goods" near you (its a store by TJ Max only with housewares) they had tons of those big mirrors that you can lean against a wall, or get a stand for. they were about $70 & the stands were $20. they were really pretty! they said they usually keep those in stock so if you have one near you they might have them too!
also try discount stores like "Ross, TJ Max & Marshells" maybe even big lots, lol! sometimes those places have un~common or odd shaped mirrors that would be perfect for that!

i took the cheapest route possible on this one! lol! i bought 7 of those cheap door mirrors from target (they were 5.99 each) && hung them vertically above one another on my 9 ft wall. so for about $40 i got a 4ft wide X 7ft tall mirror! they do have black frames around them, they would be easily removed if you didn’t want them on there but it kinda made it look more creative that way. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif

good! i was worried about kicking the wall! lol! it’s actually my formal living room, right by the front door https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif i moved all the furniture around & made the room pretty much empty, well i moved the furniture in to the bay window & partially into the next room, (ill add some pics so y’all can see what i’m talking about) i just happened to have a black couch in that room already and a black & pink chair && silver tables with glass tops so i think the pole will actually look *nice* in there https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif & today i made some heavily lined curtains for the room so my neighbors won’t accidentally see me dancin’ around like a fool. oh & i’m gonna go to target soon & get about 5 of those cheep mirrors that usually hang on the back of a door & i’m gonna hang them Horizontally on the wall above one another. it will cost about $30 for 5 of those mirrors instead of the 1 big mirror that i found (&loved), it was $70, but it was one of those that you kinda *prop up* & i’m kinda afraid i will kick it when i get to spinnin’. i though saving over half of the money on the mirrors was worth the extra work! i’m so excited! it’s gonna look like a whore house when you walk into my house! lol! bet the inlaws are just gonna love that! LMFAO!

i have another silly question. i will be attaching the pole to a cement floor (& obviously a beam in the celing) what tools/bolts do you use for that? the cement part…
