You know what you guys…instead of being rude why don't we support and applaud the hard work and effort these girls put into their routine.  It's freaking hard to get past casting for these kinds of shows.  Good for them for getting in there and getting pole dancing featured.  We should be THANKING them.

When did it become okay for us to be judgemental and rude to each other?  These girls get burned and bruised just like we do, and who knows they may even be forum members here and some of the things written are just hurtful.  They've already had to deal ABDC rejection, they don't need pole community rejection on top of it.

They did a fine job of representing us – America doesn't know what handsprings and jades are!  The moves they did were well advanced enough for the crowd they had.  Keep in mind the show is America's Best DANCE crew – not pole dance crew – they were still expected to have choreography OFF the pole and they had limited prep time and limtied audition time.

Armpit holds, inverts and lunchboxes are NOT easy moves, how long did it take you to learn all those things?  If they're so basic why aren't they in anyones beginner program?!?

You know a few years ago I would have peed my pants with excitement to see that routine and would have proudly pointed out all the moves I could do.  A few years ago all of you would be proud and excited of Jag6ed instead I'm seeing a lot of nasty comments about them not brigning it, not representing pole well, not being advanced enough…that's kind of bs.  They did great and represented pole well to MAINSTREAM America.  I bet no one in that crowd could do the stuff they did.

I am proud of Jag6ed and even if I am a different kinf of dancers I can appreciate them and was happy to see thier performance.

I hope we can get back to treating each other with kindness and thinking about how we would feel if we were them.

LOL Mini!  I got it, it's up.  It's HEAVY, it's kind of complicated the first time and took me a few seconds to figure it out.

One go on it and it's so solid!  I love it.  Yes there's some wiggle but no more than the X-stage.  I got the 45 and it feels soooooo solid.  BIG difference from the SSA.  The SSA was so wobbly that I just imagined ALL freestanders would throw you off of them.  It's a great product!

Sometimes they are just standing around because they realized pole dancing isn't for them and they;ve paid for the classes which are non refundable.  Sometimes they just need more breaks. Sometimes they're overwhelmed.

I teach multi level classes which means without notice I might have a new person who has never touched a pole before in class – they need to be taught everything but so far my students are great when that happens – they like to pitch in and encourage new people and make them feel successful – I think that makes the real difference when someone is so far behind the others,

I have a girl with me today who started almosft 2 years ago and everything has been a big struggle for her and she's been in classes with less experienced dancers who have been able to pick up on things quicker but she's still here.  🙂  And rocking out!

Talk to her first, I usually don't offer privates because they are so expensive and I don't want someone to feel like they have to pay a ton of money to do pole dancing.  Just see what's going through her head, see if she likes the classes.  If she does then maybe just let her watch and go at  her own pace – she'll get there if she likes doing it.  Maybe getting the class to cheer her on will help too.  Maybe find a way to have everyone make her feel wanted and accepted into the class.

@Flexx – I did sell the SSA – I didn't get very much for it but I put it all towards the x-stage.  I can't wait to get my X-stage!!!!!!!!

Awesome Ember!  I thought it might be a 45.  You know for a 10ft free standing 45 – there wasn't that much sway in it at all!  A lot less than the Star Stand Alone at 8ft, lol!

You can't upgrade as far as I know.

This pole has been sold and I'm on my way to an X-stage Lite.

I love how they pass the blame on to you –  as if you don't know how to set your pole up.  Yeesh!  This is kind of how they've been about the SSA's.  I am also saving for an X-stage Lite.

They won't address the pole unscrewing because they told me "You have to do 30 really good right handed spins and swings on it to get it to lock in place."  Why in the hell should we have to do 30 spins to get the pole safe?  That sounds funny to me – so because they were writing you I think they decided not to say anything that would make them sound stupid.

What an awful company!  I'd rather not buy products from a company that doesn't love and respect the pole dancers who use and spends thousands of dollars on their products.

X-pole – might not be the perfect pole for everyone but they will talk you through your problems, send you new parts, take your word for it if something is wrong and above all else they have been so kind.

Lil Mynx also has great customer service and seems to care about the individuals who USE their poles and they will always answer questions in a kind way too.

The pole world is big enough now that we don't have to depend on companies that don't care about us or our safety.

Elizabeth – I really don't think the SSA is a good pole for  professional use.  The extensions screw together so that means left handed spins will unscrew the threading.  I have extensions for it and used it for one show and the top extension came unscrwed while I was in a cross knee release and I had to very gingerly get myself below the threading and then climb up and screw it back together.

PS has claimed the pole isn't stable above 8ft and a number of other things.  I hear they now have an EZconnect system instead of threading but it's not a free upgrade on the older models.  If I were you I would stick with X-pole.  I wish I had bought an X-stage Lite to begin with and am hoping some of the proceeds from this will go towards the X Lite.

I'm just selling it because inspite of the warnings there are people who do want this pole so I'm trying to take a fair prices and recoup my loss and take it as a lesson learned and buy a Lite.

PP has no smell at all.  It's very moisturizing without feeling greasy – it soaks into the skin very well.  I mean you might want to reapply a little after you pole dance but a little goes a long way – you really only need like 2 dime sized dollops for each leg.   The bottle will last you 2-3 months.

Oh – and I a litte does go a long way.  You can use it everyday which is recommended or you can swap it out on poling days only – so use your regular lotion other days and just pp on days you pole so you won't be greasy.

PP is a great product!  I love it!  It leaves your skin well conditioned and soft!  Most people have to put in on a few hours before pole dancing though – so I would use it in the morning.  It's an all natural product without additives and preservatives and a bunch of chemicals.

You can work out with them but I much prefer to use them right before I stretch.  I don't always use them when I'm warm though – I'll just feel tight and grab my foam roller and massage it out.

When I do a stretching session I use them to warm up – there are a lot of exercises you can do and they can be tough to use.  20 minutes of foam roller followed by stretching is great.  They are also great for before you pole if you're tight.  Just be careful – they are painful at first.  Work in slow small areas instead of large areas.

I think the Fox News story might have come off a bit silly but I still think this is great and that everyone should have a voice in pole dancing.  We do have many Christian pole dancers so I think it's great there is a place for Christian pole dancers to go.  It's no different than sexy dancers taking floor classes and fitness dancers taking fitness themed pole classes.

Mrsmaybeegurl – thanks for sharing your story.  I used to have a really hard time with the sexuality and being a christian but over time the two merged together and I think for you they will too.  We might move in a provacative way at times but what I find interesting about pole dancing is that we do it for ourselves and other women, so while the dances may be sexual in nature because we're women and wired differently – we just enjoy the beauty that is woman 🙂

In addition to what Veena has said about this being a way to make more conventional christians feel more comfortable, it sounds like the "Pole for Jesus" class is also being used as a way to worship and meditate which is a wonderful thing.  No matter what your beliefs are we all feel like dance is a great way to express and work through emotions and thoughts – even on a spiritual level.  So it's not like they're just learning to pole dance, it sounds like it's a way to also honor God – especially with the christian music – it's more than just a gimmick to get christian women in the door.

I think this is a great thing for women of faith who also want to pole dance for whatever their personal reasons are and be able to feel safe in that they are not doing anything wrong.  Dance can be used in religions as a way to worship and praise God, so why not pole dance in reverence to God?  It's no different than Christian themed yoga classes.  As a christian (while not as practicing as I would like to be) we are asked to give glory to God in all that we do.  So I think this is a good thing for women who might not otherwise know the benefits of a good swing around the pole 🙂

The FB thread is working fine for me.

I sincerely hope this product works better for you than it did for me.

I only use mine for paid performances and have had riggers put mine together only to have it unscrew.

I was onstage in front of about 3000 people or more and my top extension came undone while I was in a basic cross knee release. I had to lower myself down onto the other extension and then climb up and screw it back together TWICE during my 12 minute performance.  It was a little embarassing.  That was the LAST time I ever used that pole.  It can rot in my garage.

When Kevin called me over the Alethea post he told me that the 45 was unsafe and that they were no longer selling them – okay fine, but what am I supposed to do with an unsafe pole?  Send it back to him at MY cost.  Why should I have to pay MONEY because they sent me an unsafe pole?  Again, all I did was order my FIFTH pole through them.  He told me he would send me the EZ Connect for free.  Okay great but that doesn't change the fact that he said my pole wasn't safe.  Later he said it was safe just not safe with extensions – okay again I paid $50 for those extensions and shipping – Why can't I be refunded.  We went in circles and it all came down to they refused to pay for the shipping back – but the bottom line is the piece of crap pole I have is their mistake not mine!!!!!  I wanted this pole, I waited like a month to get it, I worked for 4 months straight to save up for it – every dime I earned went to that pole and not I have an unusable pole and their solution is that I spend MORE money to send back a faulty piece of equipment?!?!!??!?!!

So, while I hope 3.0 is better I am still upset that they think it's okay that the rest of us were sent unsafe poles that come unscrewed with wobbly bases.  If they fixed stuff great but why isn't my $600 worthy of good customer care?  How come I don't deserve a good, sturdy, safe pole?  Because I order sooner rather than later?

I'll never own another PS pole again.  I won't support the company and I don't believe this company has any integrity or ethics.  I still believe the pole to be unsafe because the one I have IS…and it has the written warning from the company to prove it.  The warnings say not hold your body wieght on it, spin on it, climb it or invert it – I'm paraphrasing here but it says not to do anything more than walk around it and I'm not kidding!!!

    FROM THE INSTRUCTIONS:

"ALWAYS keep both feet on the surface."
"NEVER use this product's center pole to support your body weight"
"NEVER use the product's center pole to invert body, hang or spin"

I have the original SSA and it's a peice of crap.  The warnings that come with it say that you cannot place any weight on it or spin on it – which means if this if you get hurt using this pos you cannot even come back at them because it's basically a $600 Peek a boo.

Maybe the 3.0's are better but I doubt it.  Their customer service sucks!  I only bought this stage so I could do performances and when they were coming out with the 3.0's they said they'd upgrade me for *free* if I paid to ship the faulty parts back to them (which is the entire thing).  I have the 45 which is deemed by their own admission UNSAFE and it's extensions – I've never been offered a refund just to send things back at my own cost.  Why should I have to pay because they sold me an unsafe pole????

Just saying!  I've personally sold many girls on buying PS products over the last 3 years and have owned 5 of their poles and this is how they treat a good returning customer?

NowI have to buy an X-stage light so my stage costs are not something like $1600.  I wish I'd have saved and waited for the X-Stage Light.  I get so angry everytime I tihnk about it.

The X-stage is so much better, well made and their customer service is AMAZING!!!!!
