I've been nailing and losing my tg lift for about a year now, perhaps longer. It does happen. I also lost my superman for a minute a couple of years ago – which was weird because it's my strongest move, lol!

I am not familiar with FM at all but I just wanted to say I'm so sorry you are dealing with this and I hope that it gets better.
As far as exercise have you thought about low impact mind/body classes like yoga? I know not everyone is a yoga person but I find it very relaxing, my head stops spinning and my body always feels really amazing afterwards.
You could also look into aerial yoga (actual aerial yoga done on a hammock close to the ground not circus arts) aerial yoga has been great for me because there's very little stress on the joints and I feel like I have more control over the poses then in a traditional class.

Alos this time of year it's good to be and stay extremely hydrated as dehydration can lead to more sweating. It's also helpful to avoice things like coffee, tea, energy drinks or anything with a lot of caffeine – easier said than done, I know but that should help with the sweating too.

Tite Grip!
Also – the brass makes me SWEAT a lot! I mean this time of yeat it's fairly common to body sweat – that's what I do when I practice nowadays however some Grrrip spray and Tite Grip should help a lot 🙂
Sorry I made you so sweaty <3

How do you actually apply? I can't find any information on where to find the application or how long the submission video should be.

I know how you feel, that's how I felt after USPDF ECR 2010. I had so many things go wrong I can't list them all. I never thought I would place or anything but I knew I hadn't performed well AT ALL, I had freestyled which wasn't what I had intended on doing and the 10 hour ride home I felt like the years and the weeks preceding the comp had been a waste.
I threw a pity party. I let myself have those moments because if you don't feel them then they will haunt you. I didn't want to pole for a bit which I let myself have that break.
The thing about competing is you're being judged. That's the worst feeling in the world (to me.) Not everyone is a good competitor – I'm not. I hate it. It hurts, I doubt myself constantly. There is a difference between being a good performer and being a good competitor and not everyone can do both. I know some people who need the competition to bring their best and others like myself.
Competing is a journey and competitve performances so different from just performing because there are often compulosry elements that you have to work in. Don't be hard on yourself. You've had your moment of feeling bad.
Now, I want you to take a deep breath and think about how amazing you are, how far you've come and all the exciting things you are going to do in the future. No matter where you place in a competition you are still tops to so many people. 🙂 I hope you feel better. Dance it out when you're ready!

From what I understand you can have a removable PS cut to length and you won't need the adjuster rod – it would be semi perm like an LM – atleast a year or so ago they had that option. It's a special order and it costs more though (if it's an option.) I've heard you can turn them over too but on an 8ft ceiling…I wouldn't imagine you could use the cover with it, so you wouldn't have that much pole space. Maybe Erica will come on and explain. But I'm pretty sure you can get custom poles with PS.
PS has a great stainless steel – by far my favorite.
Another SS option is the LM and that gives you abour 7'9 and they come in skinnies and 50's. I like their stainless ok, my hands just don't agree with it as much as the PS poles though.

@Kyrelle – you arne't kidding about those powder coated poles – geez between those and the ps slip cover I could remi drop for 3 weeks! LOL!
Plus anyone who has super sweaty hands, I do, powder coated might not be the best option because they aren't porous and they don't soak up the sweat – it rides on top – I've always had great body grip on PC but bad hand grip – metal is a better way to go – imo.

For anyone worried about TG. I have danced on faded TG's and I can honestly tell you that the gold has nothing to do with the grippiness of the pole – I still felt the faded TG was grippier than the chrome – by a lot. I have a TG 45 – its brand new so it's not faded and but feels like the faded ones I've been on 🙂 So, buy the TG for the grip – if it fades it really won't matter.

My favorite is the X-Pole Chrome 40mm – it's simply a magic pole! I adore it!
My 2nd choice would be a 45mm stainless – PS makes a good stainless but I'd only get the one piece because the bottom loader has a bottom cover that is larger than the pole and it cut my foot up badly on my remi drop.
I have a TG 45 and it's awesome but waaaayyyyy to grippy for my liking.
I adore all of my X-poles but the 40mm right now is my fav 😀

It depends in the beginning a lot because you'll have to do marketing, websites, answer phone calls book classes, paper work, write waivers, etc. Once you get a lot of that stuff done it's just answering emails, preparing a syllabus (if you didn't in the beginning or have a class in which it changes up every week) regular website updates but mostly it's talking to clients and signing them up for classes. A couple times a month you'll have to write checks to your employees…once a month write bills…it's as much work as you make it.
Size matters too, the bigger the studio, the bigger your headache, the more people working for you, the more issues you might have.
My boss runs 2 locations, teaches, practices, manages both sets of instructors and has 2 little guys and she makes it all work with a smile on her face. Not that it's easy or anything but with some organization and a lot of love – it can work out.

I was in broadcasting as a writer, producer and on air talent – now all I do is this – just teach pole 🙂
Although – it's been time to get a real job for awhile now so I'm looking!
