I also just wanted to mention that the event does go until 6pm Sunday so you would have to wait until all the workshops are done to take them.

Back to the OP – Is MICHI comparable with AP? There are everal pieces on MICHI that I LOVE and for 1/5 the cost….hmmmm….
I'm concerned about the quality though – I don't want to spend that much and have it fall apart.

I bought a sports bra at Victoria Secret awhile ago – I personally didn't like it because it was "too" supportive and rather large, had underwire and a triple closure in the back. It's a great bra but I'm not used to that mush support (I'm an A cup.)
I don't know much about cup size on bra's muchless sports bras but I do think the design of the bra I described above might be really great for larger breasted women. So I went hunting, couldn't find it but here is a link to max strength VS bras. They only go to a DDD (I don't know what that means) but maybe some of you might like these if they are close to your size.

Also consider that in classes you are being walked through everything. Your instructor is probably making sure everything makes sense, spotting you and talking you through moves a day later you are back to "wait, what was that again?"
I learned a spin from a friend recently – like a pretty simple spin – but you had to thread something through – blah, blah – I could do it fine while she was here – she walked me through it a few times – nailed it every time! Went back a couple days later and for the life of me couldn't remember how to thread the needle – lol!
When all else fails just wriggle and dance! 😀

If you have larger breasts check out vertical edge clothing! I met the owner at Midwest last year and bought a couple of things – I noticed everything was sized up. Normally I'm a small – medium but with VE I'm an XS. They have real sizes and have rather large sports bras. My friend is on the top heavy side and she loves her VE stuff.

Interesting…I have danced on TG's that have faded and found the grip to be a bit better than chrome – placebo effect? lol!

SV has amazing lessons. If you can afford to go to a class – I recommend that for work that has you up in the air and/or inverted so that you have proper safety mats and spotting. As you call around for classes make sure they have some sort of policy and standard regarding mats and spotting. 🙂

It's going to be so much fun! I am trying to budget so I can go see all of my friends in their comps! And I'm extremely honored to be apart of the Venus Pole Festival and am so excited to see old friends (Bella Forza in the house!) and make new ones!

I think powder coated would be great for spin mode as Iuse my titanium most in spin because the extra grip keeps me from flying off it – lol!
I learned on an LM too – I had the choice of a rotator and a static and that was in '07 (I believe) but the rotators are difficult to change back and forth because they have nut you turn in and out and they'd get stuck in one position all the time – not sure if this has changed.
On another note my friend Shadow has an old – like probably the first ones they ever made – stainess rotator and it's SOOO smooth spin wise and grips amazingly – I've yet to find another LM product that is so grippy! It's a dream pole – too bad it's a 50.
But to OP – powder coated won't inhibit any moves but do beware that I personally found that my seaty hands didn't bode well with that particular finish – I've yet to find a powder coated pole that I can do an entire routine on. It seems like it doesn't absorb sweat as well as uncovered metals – not sure if that is true – Chemmy weigh in? I found I was wiping the pole every 40 seconds.
