I find that lots of pull ups, push ups, and pole holds are great for strength. Veena has an awesome core warm up on here that’s awesome for ab work. 🙂

Its fun and challenging and will transition to pole because of the similarities in the dancey/fluidity side of pole, plus flexibility 🙂

They are clear and concise and easy to understand. Everything is broken down so well, and MAKES SENSE! I've been to studios even where there is no method to teaching and it is just made up as the instructor goes, usually teaches wrong and or dangerous methods. I love Veena's structure and all the strength building moves for polers instead of just jumping into "Welcome to pole! lets learn the fireman spin!". You have helped me grow as a student and an instructor! 🙂

I’ve been having body issues the past year, and find it hard to accept all the weight I Have gained and can’t seem to loose. I try to see it as look at all the awesome things my body can do! Not so much what it looks like. I had a falling out with my best friend of 15 years because she fed on my insecurity and told people I looked like I didn’t need another meal!! I was so hurt and sad because of this. People say mean things to make themselves feel better because they are insecure. It hurts more to come from friends then strangers. I would say leave the negative people behind and surround yourself with kind people! Like on SV! 🙂

Feeling the cold up here too! 🙁 agree with the hard to get motivated thing, I usually really crank the heat and bundle up and move very slow at first. Once I get going I’m usually fine!
