Hello! I recently recovered from a volleyball injury in my scapula.
I gained a lot of weight as well and now having hard time to invert..
should I focus on weightless and do more cardio? or just pole+ flexibility because pole is the sport I want to get better at...

Hi there. I'm glad you're on the road to feeling better!

Focus on strength and conditioning, because as long as you do this, your weight won't matter so much.

If you haven't tried it yet, I suggest using the invert program [www.studioveena.com] However, if you haven't been active for a few months, I suggest starting with any of the beginner level programs. As in these we focus on strength and conditioning.

If the programs don't interest you, because you had a scapula injury, at the very least do this routine 2 - 3 times per week for at least 3 weeks before attempting to invert [www.studioveena.com]

Also remember the step and sweep (controlled momentum) method of inverting takes a lot of the stress off the body when inverting from a deadlift. I talk about this in all of the inverting tutorials here.

I started with the 30 days take off today.. it went great!
The invert program is too advanced for me right now but I will do the shoulder conditioning. They feel so good on my scapula :)

Thank you for your response ❤
Do you think that pole can help with losing excess weight? Or should I also do cardio?

If you take the opportunity to dance it's great cardio.
