Ps...I recommend that you take a month off of arm stuff after the surgery
I've. Had my. 700cc. Saline implants 36DDD. I had to stop. Pole. Dancing after 1 month. Because I was having pain in. The left. My surgeon said pole. Dancing is strenuous and if. It causes. Pain. To stop. So I did. I. Miss it! I had to sell. My. Pole! :c( I. Never had to massage them that maybe with silicone. My. Surgeon said implants these days. can last a lifetime as long as they don't rupture such as in a car accident with. Great impact. I envy those who can still poledance with implants
P.s. I also had. A lift because I breastfed for. 4 years! The incision is known as. A lollipop incision u can google it to see what. It looks like. I have a very light vertical. Scar from bottom of aerola down breast to. Chest. Wall. Just make sure. U wear supportive bras 24/7 if u can because nothing can beat gravity! Gravity wins! Lol

i didn't necessarily have to massage mine, but they were nice and soft when massaged, and then when i stopped doing it (because i didn't know you were supposed to do it forever) i noticed that they didn't "move" naturally when i walked, etc. - and felt somewhat harder. my doc had me take a high dose of vitamin e (3,000/day) with massage and they got soft again... i know everyone is different thought. mine were the smooth round saline type.
I had a lift w augmentation, 550cc. ive never had any problems w them and they dont prevent me from doing anything on the pole. However, Im a size 32DDD and I agree w Pegasus and wish I had just gone w a D. Clothing and bras that fit properly are my major issues! I decided on that volume becasue I had so much skin after breastfeeding my 3 childrens even after the lift. I loved them when I first got them but am over the size now! If I ever have another surgery I will definitely reduce the size next time.
Tarah... Hmmm strange...I guess all surgeons are different...I asked my surgeon that about having to massage them and he said u don't....he said if u get a capsular contraction it will happen regardless if u massage or don't. I have 3 friends and their coworkers all go to him and none of them massaged them and/or had problems. Just wish I could pole dance still :c(
@Paulette...sister! where do you find a cute pole top that fits? They never fit my rib cage (too big) and the "bottom" of the top always ends up across the middle of my boob..nice look if I was trying out for the dukes of hazard. We should design a top that fits girls with small ribacages! Hope you aerial biz is taking off. Okay back on topic. Not everyone is going to have problems with their implants...but I have seen a lot people with the encapsulation problem (scaring) and a lot of people who have had problems or pain with them..most implants will wear out, or like mine now need to be refreshed again. Your body changes as you age. I find the only problems with pole is the fact that they get in my way. Forarm grip..... is pushing you on your boob or its on one side of the pole or the other.. Some spins. ouch.. can you say pinch and role..or its hard to find the right amount of coverage without compromising grip.
Has any1 had them done after they've been poling for a while, so already have built up a lot of mucle around the chest. I'm advanced and my boobs have decreased at least a fu cup size and now look quite empty. I feel I look really butch as I'm quite muscly with these small lumps that seem quite low. They are still perky but have lost their fullness but was wondering how implants would fit/ set in already muscly surroundings. Not feeling the stuck on look.
Your surgeon should be able to give you a good idea of whether or not they will slope naturally, how they will fill out, etc. but one option you might like would be anatomical ("tear drop") implants. Instead of being round, they have a tear drop shape to give more of a natural slope for ladies with less breast tissue concerned about the "stuck on globe" look.
I've been poling 2 1/2 years & I got my implants (saline, under the muscle, went from a saggy small B to a D) about 3 months into starting pole. I stopped 2 weeks prior to surgery & didnt start pole classes again until 5-6 months post op & i started slow back @ the beginning level... I still continue to massage my boobies everyday & take vitamin e still a couple times a week to keep them soft & maintain my pocket. I am now starting to do advanced moves & I pole 1-2x a week & my boobies are doing well....no distortion, change in their shape or how they sit on my chest either, they are perfect & look & feel natural. I make sure to wear a sports bra or cami top w/bra to bed & i rarely go braless. I paid alot for these babies, so i baby them & take good care of them. It was one of the best things i have ever done for myself, I would do it again in a heart beat :) I love my boobies!

Hi Spinnylady :) I am 3 months post-op and have been doing pole for just under a years and a half. Talking to a few different surgeons and really doing your research is the best advice I can give. I do not recommend anatomical breast implants (tear drop shape) and they have been known to flip around and make the breast lopsided--it was not recommended for me with doing pole "acrobatics." I was very descriptive with the kinds of things we do with pole and he recommended the size and shape for me and my lifestyle. He recommended that i not go large and gave me the plus and minuses for different placement options. I have round, silicone gel (gummy bear), under muscle, high profile implants. I went from a large A/small B (very saggy) to a full C/small D, so far. I am still new at this since I am only 3 months out and my pole strength is really coming back. I have technically only been back on my pole for about 6 weeks, with a 2 week vacation in there. I have been amazed at what I have been able to jump right on and nail first try (even new moves I had not tried) and others that I will need to build up to strength-wise. Pull ups are my bigger challenge but it gets better each time I am at my pole. Iguana mounts are no problem, tg handspring either. Reverse grab spins have given me a tugging sensation so I try to keep them to a minimum for now. I have been assured by my dr, and other ladies with implants who pole, that I will have no restrictions when I am back full swing. Handstands didnt hurt, but were just awkward at first. About distortion, this is a broad topic. With under muscle implants there is going to be some distortion when flexing the pectoral but I believe it must be less noticeable with the smaller implant... I can flex each pec individually and make the ladies bounce back and forth. Technically this is from muscle "distortion" but it doesn't look distorted in the sense I would have thought. I think it is really funny and awesome at the same time. I have been very pleased with my decision to have a BA, especially since I finally have my deep fears at rest now that I am progressing on my pole again. ;)

Next year I am hoping to go to a full B-Small C cup. I am going to hate the time off of pole, but it sounds like you are coming right along!!!

I dreaded the time off more than the surgery itself!! That time was torture but I really cant believe it has already come and went. Good luck luvlee! It was one of the best things I ever did for myself.

I am excited and scared. I have never really had any breasts and wear a foam strap on B cup thing. I have Hypoplasia (never developed breasts) so it will be real weird. I sleep on my stomach, waer little girls bikini tops, and do not have to worry with them at all. I want to still fit in my cloths so I think the B cup will be perfect. Then I can wear all these pole cloths I love!!!! Havong to get bras will be different. I really do not fit bras, so that will be the biggest change. LOL! A lot of stuff gaps and shows my nipples and I am looking forward to filling things out and no gappng!!! I want to even out my body too. I am a XS or smaller top and M-L bottom. PEAR!!!!! I have been this way for 31 years though!
the only time i wish i did not have them....is when i am on the pole :)

I can't believe it's almost been one year since my surgery and I have not regretted it once. I went small, and they even shrank more after everything settled and the swelling is fully gone. This is also after a year of doing pole regularly so needless to day they have dropped and everything looks so natural. No one would ever guess if I did not tell them ;). How did it go luvlee?
I have saline under the muscle & since i last posted in this thread, i have now been poling 3 years with my breast implants & no tightening or deformation of the breasts has occurred :)
I know this thread is old, but question? I have implants above the muscle for 9 years now. I just started working on the brass monkey from the floor and the pressure on the implant is killing me. Suggestions?? Also has anyone had problems with implant rupture due to pole? Thank you! ~Dez

I can not speak for above the muscle bc I have mine under the muscle. I didn't go large bc I didn't want to have problems. I have had them almost two years and had been doing pole for over a year already before my OP. I get regular massages where the therapist massages my pec muscle when working on my upper body. I also have cohesive gel/gummi bear implants. There isn't anything to "rupture" in my case but I did worry about one going into my arm pit ;) so far, they are great and people are amazed when I share that I had them done. I am certain there are many other pole ladies who have implants as well and it seems like they are able to maneuver just fine ;). I know everyone's body is different and I had a TON of questions and concerns. I was just thinking though, I wonder what it is about the brass monkey that bothers you--I wouldn't pin that move as any more taxing on the pec muscles as many other moves that are. Have you tried massaging the area?

I'm getting implants for the first time in about 6 weeks 😃 I'm almost 40 and will be going from a AA to a D HAHA 😅😂😂 I'm getting silicone implants over the muscle. So my doctor says dancers should always get implants over not under the muscle because the muscles will cause the implant to move around unnaturally-looking when you're dancing if you go under the muscle. Also, I'm getting Sinestra brand implants - After I expressed concern about my..ahem... love of rough sex lol...my doctor showed me a video where they literally ran the implants over with a car... and they still didn't rupture HAHA. They are very strong and rupture-resistant, but still feel natural. So also consider Sinestra-brand implants, and from what I have been told, go over not under the muscle. I'll update after I get my boobies! 😃
I've had the same implants for over 10 years. They're saline and under the muscle. I went from a B to a full C. I think when it comes to worrying about whether they're going to rupture, it all comes down to how good your surgeon is and how big you go. However, going over the muscle would be very concerning to me. Not only is the implant more exposed to potential damage, but I can guarantee that regardless of what type of implant you get, "rippling" is much more likely to happen and it will be more visible to the naked eye. My implants have held up beautifully, considering how old they are, but it happens to all implants over time. My opinion is that if you walk outta the office w/ concerns that they might rupture during any kind of physical activity you enjoy, they're either too big or they did a poor job. My advice is go smaller than you think, they'll only get bigger over time and you won't regret that you have a natural look rather than frankenstein boobs.
