I love my butt. It look me a while to admit it, but since I've done weight lifting to broaden my shoulders, I feel that I'm more proportionate. My butt isn't tight, so when we do booty clapping in class, it's so much fun to do because there's something back there to move, lol. I love my eyes. I love my smile. I love my hair. I'm uber cute. I love my feet. People seem to be surprised at how pretty my toes are.
This is a great question.... I applaud you for encouraging all of us to participate in such a positive activity! We should do this more!!! Yaay for positive attitudes! Ok, here is mine: --> I have a rockin' six pack... I have had it since I was about 14, and I am now 30 (and get mistaken for about 20)...Still got it... I take pride in my core body. All of you who have read this forum: Look in the mirror and tell yourself you are beautiful, hot and sexy!!!

I love my elf feet, they have a high arch are fairly small and seem to be made to wear heels. I love my breasts, they are not too big or too small and have huge nipples. I love the curve of my hip.

I love my eyes because they are as green as lime. I love my hair because it is soft and fine. I love my arms because they are strong. I love my legs because they are long. I love my big feet. Why? Because they are lithe and shapely. I love my cellulite. Why? Because I haven't seen much of it lately. ? ~*Serzi
My BUTT 😀 My bf say I have a bubble butt, not big but round like a baby butt 😂 And since i start to pole i have killer legs with my 5,5 inch heel, love it. And i totally agree with you runemist, I love corset I would wear that all the time, it's just the perfect fit with my butt. Too bad i miss my bigger boobs but there still pretty good after breastfeeding my 2 boys WE ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!! 😀
I have to say my eyes. Every single day I get compliments on the street from people I don't even know just for my eyes. They're very, very blue!

what a nice thread, ok, here I go. I like my eyes. My lips are full and sexy the color of my skin, I have a tan all year round. I LOVE that I have a small waist, even at my worst it has never been more than 25 inches around, right now it's at 24. well how can I forget my biggest ASSet? I like my butt, it is round and nice lol, it's not perfect (little cellulite) but I like it. I like my arms right now, I never used to like them but my biceps are nice and shapely from pole now, so I like them. there. haha.

How could I have not mentioned the ass, LOL! Its presence is known the minute I walk in any room, it has its own personality, it violates the eyes of unsuspected people with its roundness and greatness, it bounces and they get sprung, it also eats my pole shorts.

Sorry to resurrect an old post, bad form. But I did this post a disservice a while ago, and it needs to be corrected. Today I read a post on Charley's FB asking this same question. A lot of thoughts came to my mind at once. I've been poling for two years now, progressed to a level that I didn't know if I'd be able to achieve, and transitioned to being a teacher to some really awesome students. And, I think most importantly, I've spent the last year really working on myself. With the support and encouragement of some friends very close to my heart, a lot has changed. I've struggled with body image all my life- and those issues will always be a part of me. But now, I see in my reflection how far I have come. When I look in the mirror, I see progress and potential. I see a body that was worked for, a physique that is earned. When people give me compliments, I don't feel compelled to reject that gift by disagreeing. I don't carry that burden; I'm free to just say "thank you." And I know each compliment represents a kind of gift. I try to carry them as such. When I'm hard on myself now, it's because I want to push myself to progress, not because I want to push myself down for how I look. I still have issues with my body, mostly because women's clothing isn't designed with a strong, flat-chested upper body in mind. But you'll never hear me bash myself for those muscles. I earned them. I own them. They're mine. And every line of muscle you can see on my body is a love letter from me to myself, because I know now that I love the person in this body-and I love the body that has carried this person so far. Anyone out there reading who feels more like my posts up top than the post down here- don't give up on yourself. You can free yourself from all that hate. It can be done.

Yay, PDR! Thank you for bumping this to post that. I love your post. Now we have a whole new set of Veeners who might want to think about the intent of my original post! 🥂 Seriously, when I ask women to do this they become very, very uncomfortable for all sorts of reasons... but I think it's a good thing to do. As important as inner beauty is, for once, just for once, allow yourself to admit that there are things you appreciate about your outside beauty!
i love everything about my body.................. just not the way my belly looks! i know i have abs under there, i can feel them but i have the Pooch, that hides all my hard work! but i know with a little more work, i will have a smaller Pooch! lol i have an awesome bum, ( and must be getting better as my B/F has started calling me applebottom) lol, my arms and back and legs.. love them, they show how much work and care i have been putting into my body. my breast, they are small but not too small. i like em cause i can still fit into kids clothing at the age of 27, makes for cheap shopping when buying Tanks, T's and sweaters!! lol my most fave though, my legs, and bum!

@PDR - I'd never seen this thread before, and when you replied to it, I opened it without actually registering who had made the most recent reply. I read pretty much the whole thing, and on the way, saw your original post. From that point on, I was really looking out for your name again, hoping that you'd overcome your inability to be complimentary to yourself. Of course, I got to the end, and there you were again: the one who had actually returned to the thread! I'm so pleased for you that you can say those good things about yourself. I was reading the whole thread wondering if I could do this myself. Anything nice I ever think about myself is drowned in a barrage of "but this is wrong and that looks awful". I'm feeling hopeful now, because given your original reaction, for you to manage to come back and post things is a huge step, and perhaps it's a path I can follow too. I don't want to be so hard on myself, so uncomfortable in my own skin. It's nice to think I won't feel like this forever, so thank you for posting again.

Polergirl, thank you so much for posting this! I run a women's network and one of our first topics was about how terrible we women are at accepting compliments. It seems like every time we receive a compliment instead of smiling and saying thank you, and just relishing in the moment of someone being appreciative of us, we downplay or make apologies and excuses for it. Pole dancing has changed my life! At 46 years old, I am doing things I never in a million years thought I would be able to do. It's given me confidence in both my inner and outer beauty. My favorite things about my physical self are my hands and my calves. Oh--and I love flipping my hair when I'm dancing on the pole!
Thank you for making me think of the positive when looking in the mirror...I needed this today! I love my hands, wrists, hair, eyes, and cheekbones. My lips because my dad loved that I have my mom's lips. And my thighs that may not be Hollywood's preference, but they let me do Tumbles, Stars, Superwomen, Thigh holds, and climbs that show the cuts in those strong muscles. Oh, and I have badass hip flexors. 💪

I love this thread...I wasn't a Veener back when this first started either...and I read the whole thing. Congrats PDR! Thank your close friends for us too please. I am sure it wasn't an easy journey, but one that I am glad you made 😀 I love my laugh which is ((((LOUD)))) but usually bubbling on top. I love my eyes..the shape and color. I love my legs which are muscular and are very low maintenance shaving wise. I love my unruly curly hair because it matches my personality a bit.
