    Wow. 2 ounce pump spray should not have been a problem. 

    you never know who or what you are going to get at the check in. 

    Did they confiscate the product?

    It was weird…they confiscated but held it until we returned from the trip and we had to go to security to get it back. We had 6 bottles so I guess they may have made a bigger fuss about it. I never even noticed the bottle said flammable before that!

    You were very fortunate to have it returned. Once they confiscate they rarely return anything.

    You mean because hairspray is flammable? I didn't udnerstand that either but based on TSA lists there are some things which are allowed even though flammable and some are not.

    My best guess when I looked it up AFTER the trip is that most of the allowed products have a known flashpoint or percentage of alcohol and this product did not?

    Hairspray… because you may rush the cockpit and style the pilot to death? I had a new aerosol hairspray detained and throw away one time. I don't even question it anymore just have a check in just for grooming products.
