Today is a full rest day!

Pro tip: As a pole dancer, you don’t have to love or learn every single trick or style of pole work out there. It’s perfectly acceptable to do what your natural abilities allow for and hone those skills.

What do you feel most drawn to when it comes to pole dance? I’d love to hear about your story about your favorite way to engage with pole.

Here’s my quick answer: I’m personally drawn to movement the most, tricks are fun, but flow and movement make me feel whole and happy. It’s the easiest way for me to interact with this world. This is ironic, because I grew up in a home where dancing of any kind was “of the devil” and I never actually moved my body in that way until my junior year in high school, at a homecoming dance. I was amazed at how incredible it felt, so free and happy and I wish this for everyone.

  1. Hi!I have stomach and head problems with spin so this is not my favourite :-). I love inverting, simple combos, slow and precise movements that make me feel light, flexible and strong. Then I find out with your lessons that I really like the floor movement and wearing the heels makes me feel like a goddess :-). Exotic pole is beautiful but I prefer the acrobatic side of the pole.
