Today you’ll practice a few different styles of walks. Have fun with these and make them your own—your walks don’t have to look just like mine.

Pro tip: It’s easy to feel like your body movements should look exactly like mine or someone else’s, but unless you’re training to be part of a dance troupe, you can explore your movement. You don’t have to look just like everyone else. As long as you’re paying attention to the cues and performing your skills correctly and within your ability, you’re doing great!

  1. @sinfultorixoxoxo3778 I had the exact same experience. I thought talking around the pole was just walking around the pole. But there’s an art to it I was missing.

  2. day 3 complete the pole kicks were so fun! I have noticed its easier for me to start new moves/general practice with my non dominant side so I can get in as much practice as my dominant side 😀

  3. Veena, I have a question! If I can’t make it to the pole open gym every day, do I just do each day of the tutorial whenever I get there? Or if I miss a day, could I put two of the tutorials together?

    1. Most of the time programs have rest days, which are every other day. So you won’t need to go to the studio for that. If there is a day where you do need a pole but can’t go to the studio, just do that day the next time you have access to the pole. I do not suggest combining two days in one session. By reading the descriptions, you’ll be able to see what days you’ll need access to a pole and what days are rest days this can help you plan. 💜
