This is not a small undertaking. Mobile apps require an entire rethinking of your information architecture and this is why even big sites with millions of dollars dedicated to development often times have no mobile presence.
That being said we are already thinking about mobile. Our video platform, while not currently mobile has the right tools in place to make it mobile, there are other things going on as well that will aid in this. Just keep watching.

StudioVeena.Com will render great in Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome. It is in fact entirely developed on Macintosh, and I am even typing this message on a Mac. Macintosh will not force you to use Safari, you can in fact run Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera and several other browsers and if you are comfortable with emulation software you can even run Internet Explorer but I don’t recommend it because its absolutely not neccessary.
Go Mac, don’t look back you will love it. Your best value in mac is the new Macbook or Mackbook Pro 13 inch, you can also enter the Mac family inexpensively with the Mac Mini. Whatever you choose however you can’t go wrong.

Try uploading it again please.

Thank-you for your comments. We are working on all kinds of things to improve all experiences on the site as an example we are adding two more servers to our array this week, which should help with the failed video encodings.
The video platform is high on our list of todos. This is step one in creating both a more mobile platform and a platform that can ultimately support the rapidly growing audience we have. We appreciate all your comments and will strongly consider them all as we move forward.

If you really need a video deleted please send me the link and I’ll take care of it.

A very important note on non-compete contracts. In the US they are almost 100% non-enforceable if you are no longer employed by the person with whom you have the non-compete. They are based on a core tenet behind contract law requiring all involved parties to be receive fair consideration for their part in the contract.
When you are employed the consideration is that you are getting paid and the employer doesn’t have to worry about you competing with them. However when you are no longer working for the employer there is no mutual benefit.
Please note this only applies to non-compete clauses and contracts. Trade secrets are still protected, which means you can’t steal a curriculum.

The new software should actually better support that feature than the previous software, unless you are looking at an old video. New videos will allow you to click anywhere on the timeline and even a portion that hasn’t been downloaded and it will start playing almost immediately.

The old videos will all be there. Currently the catalog goes back just over a month. We are working on putting them all back in a way that makes sense.
The new video platform allows for several things:
1) Supports the new lessons Veena will be making
2) Supports all your video formats so those of you who have been uploading widescreen will notice your videos are no longer squished
3) Provides higher quality video
4) Lays the ground-work for mobile platforms such as iPhone etc..
5) Provides room for expansion, you guys love your video and our old platform provided us no room for growth -

AdministratorOctober 14, 2009 at 5:04 pm in reply to: Help Uploading Vids from Camcorder to Computer!!!!!Try this http://videospin.com/Redesign/ as a replacement for Windows Movie Maker. It appears to be free and is made by Pinnacle the makers of some very high end video editing software I’ve used before. It gets great ratings and will be able to handle that MPG directly without converting it. It should make it super easy to create your video for upload.

The X-Stage has adjustable feet that allow you to level it out fairly easily. It is tremendously stable and a great piece of equipment. Veena has one and she loves it. In the US they go for about $750 US with shipping. You should be able to contact Xpole UK (find their contact info at http://xpole.co.uk) and find out what the price is.

Just an update. Stock reports on the various websites can be a little bit off. We should be able to get you any extension you need. If you add the request in your notes when you purchase on our site we will send you a funds request for the additional extensions. One note there is no free shipping on the extensions.

AdministratorSeptember 15, 2009 at 7:31 pm in reply to: Win A New Camcorder From StudioVeena.ComSo here are a couple more tips:
1. As much as is reasonably possible we eliminate duplicate clicks from the same person through several tracking techniques (which we are not disclosing to prevent any attempt to get around them).
2. We do not suggest posting the link anywhere that is not publicly accessible as these links cannot be verified for accuracy. Facebook is a good example, your content cannot be accessed by our verification service so we cannot insure that the link is in place as required. We must be able to verify the link, this also means that private email links will also be removed from the database. We appreciate your patience with us on this. This will not be the last contest that we offer, so good luck everyone.
