This is a common problem. I’m going to put a banner on the front of the site soon.

Just visit any of the lessons and click the banner telling you that you can upgrade to get access.

What kind of camera are you using? I’ll see if I can find out more about its format for you.

You should be able to import into iMovie from most formats using the import option under file, beyond that you could just import from the camera. The only format that iMovie will really have trouble with is WMV.

    We only accept PayPal.

How long has it been since they’ve withdrawn the $2. The only thing that should be is an approval, which is where PayPal just checks to see if your account works, its not actually a removal of funds. It should reappear within ten days. The only time they do this is when you add a credit or debit card.

If you continue to have troubles please email me at mailto:webmaster@studioveena.com.

No the comments did not become flash. Are you having difficulty with your iPhone or is it your computer?

Empyrean made some good points, these are all things to check into and be aware of, but lets not make it as scary as all that.

Music is easy, ASCAP is the largest licensing firm and you won’t have to pay more than a couple hundred dollars to get a license for a small facility. And realistically, while they can fine you up to $30,000 per song, I can find no instances of this on the internet, what happens in every case I am aware of is that the licensing agency calls and politely asks you to pay for a license, if you pay there is no further action.

Zoning is as simple as a call to the appropriate local agency, usually the zoning board. If your residence is not zoned properly for business for a small fee and demonstration that your home business will not create undue traffic, you can usually get a variance that will "zone" your residence for business.

For everything else have a frank conversation with your insurance agent, they can provide everything from waivers to the proper insurance to make sure your home is covered in the event of a lawsuit. Your insurance agent is your partner and it’s their job to make sure your covered in your particular situation.

Business is risky but remember, with great risk comes great reward.

The Flip includes a piece of software that will allow you to save the videos down to a smaller size. That’s probably the easiest way.

The first thing to do is try updating your flash at http://www.flash.com

If that doesn’t work then check your internet security settings, sometimes if you have a software like Norton set to be too secure it won’t work,

If that doesn’t work then try another browser,

If all else fails try another computer, if this works then it is quite possible you have a malware infection on the computer that doesn’t work.

There is absolutely no law against having a Pole in your home in any state in the US. End of story.

We could discuss all the things she could remove them from your home for, but having a pole is not one of them and therefore it is not necessary to expound on this at all.

So I am a big fan of Mac which comes with the always great iMovie, although laying iTunes tracks over the top can cause sound issues when you upload it to the site, so you should always convert to MP3 first.

However most of you out there are on Windows so I here good things about http://videospin.com/ . It is free and its based on Pinnacle, a very powerful piece of editing software. Give it a try, its probably one of the best options.

It is unfortunate that people get their panties in a bundle regarding simple things like this, it’s not like those children they are concerned about came about through immaculate conception. We live in a time where schools are banning Webster’s Dictionary because it contains words such as copulation and sex.

I think the biggest question is, has anyone yet consulted a lawyer regarding this? In most states there are several things to be concerned about, however laws and definitions of these things vary from state to state so you should consult legal representation if things escalate.

Tradename vs. Trade mark – Trade name is a name you have legally registered, under which you do business. Trademark refers to imagery you use to represent your business, this includes your logo. Often times in a lease contract you will represent your trade name but not your trade mark leaving a legal door open for the owner of the property to dispute/debate the imagery you use to represent your business and giving him/her control over how their property is represented.

Decency laws – Every state and some cities/counties have them and some states are rather puritanical. Many people think they refer to just strip clubs and the like, they don’t. Decency laws have been used to bring down businesses of all types, gyms, bars, and restaurants have all been victims, know your state’s laws to keep covered. Things to consider with decency laws, distance from establishments frequented by minors, distance from schools, what kind of contact is encouraged in your business, how much clothing is worn etc… but once again these laws vary drastically from state to state and even city to city.

I hope things work out for the best, and as one of my mentors once told me "don’t sacrifice your dream of business ownership over something that doesn’t matter in the long run".
