AdministratorNovember 20, 2012 at 9:12 am in reply to: Crash Mat from Everything Pole Dancing@Spinny – We don't make a habit of publicising disciplinary actions on the site but since you have used this opportunity to put another member's reputation into question I unfortunately have to speak up.
We have removed at minimum 3 of Spinny's accounts that she has made. She has been abusive, argumentative, non-apologetic, and blatantly disregarded requests that I made regarding how she conducts herself and advertises her business on StudioVeena.Com. No other user past or present has showed so little respect for our site or its users.
While I am not in a position to make a value judgement regarding her business, seeing as we haven't purchased anything from her, I can say that I would never do business with someone who acts the way she has.
I apologize for this, I take no joy in it, please pole positively and have a great day.

Generally logging out and logging back in fixes this problem. Make sure you are using the same account on your phone and your computer.

All I have to say is:

You are correct however in your statement that you aren't the first nor are you the last to fileshare.
That statement can be made of many things, if I were to kill someone tomorrow I would not be the first murderer in history nor would I be the last and neither part of that statement makes murder legal or morally acceptable.

AdministratorNovember 14, 2012 at 5:59 pm in reply to: just downloaded art of pole dvds 4 free, yay. xx@Pole Gal – I know the concepts of Intellectual Property can be confusing especially with all the hubub in the media about it. There are a couple rules that make it very easy to understand.
If you do not have an original, authorized disk or if you did not pay for content from an authorized seller of that content, you are not granted a legal license to use that intellectual property.
In the case of the DVDs you ordered from eBay, they are not original and therefore are in violation of copyright law. You are required by law to report the offender to the appropriate authority or you could be considered an accessory to mail fraud.
Remember just because we have the ability to replicate something doesn't mean that replication is legal. A civilized society requires legal mechanisms to protect Intellectual Property in order that the creators can gain income that can allow them to continue to grow and benefit society.
For example, StudioVeena.Com requires roughly ten servers to operate, the cost of this operation is not inconsequential. Were people to simply steal our videos and distribute them free of charge we woud no longer be able to operate and this forum would no longer exist.
I hope that helps to clear it up.

The pole industry is small and most content is funded and coordinated by the artist and sales are relatively small volumes and therefore small profits to bring you the information and products you enjoy. When you encourage others to download videos illegally you are depriving the dancers of potential profits that are already small.

When Veena and I started StudioVeena.Com there was not one site for all pole dancers. There were forums that were for exotic dancers, there were forums that stressed the fitness aspect only, there were forums that seemed to be targetted at one particular clique or another and that got fairly heated and attacked people they didn't like. There were even sites that didn't like you if you showed uncommon talent.
StudioVeena.Com is different, it is for all dancers. We adhere to what is generally accepted as common levels of decency, no female areola and no genitalia. We embrace all styles of pole dance and the empowerment that goes along with participating in an athletic, artistc and sensual activity.
You are all beautiful and you all have something to contribute, lets keep those contributions supportive and positive.
This thread was started with one particular picture in mind, an issue that has since been remedied. I think its only polite and supportive of the community and users involved that we discontinue this thread, if anyone would like to start another thread regarding everyone's subjectve views on public decency, which is really a good topic, please do it as a seperate thread. Thank-you.

Lets be careful about using words like trashy. Remember there is a large part of the public that judges pole dancers as trashy we certainly don't need to bring that lack of tolerance into the pole dance community.

cwalden43 – We don't allow nudity on the site, if you have found something please send me a link so I can delete it.
As to bikinis, that is the choice of the dancer, we try not to pass judgement because the level of appropriateness, even in competitions, runs the gamut from barely there to requiring booty shorts and shirts that only show the midriff. Also as an international site there is alot of differing opinions on what is appropariate and what is not.

Also when looking for a domain use the search service at godaddy or some other domain registrar.

Here's some tips on choosing your name.
1) Make sure the .com is available for your exact name with no spaces, hypens or underscores. I can't stress this enough, your exact name is very important. Then buy the name immediately before someone else does.
2) See number one I can't stress this enough.
3) Really number one is sooooo important, there have been businesses that have lived or died based on number one.
