So in short nilla you progressed beyond the content available in the lessons and you would be interested in more combos and routines. Would that be correct?

Regarding the statement “for the home student who is not breezing through beginning to advanced levels in the span of 12 months it could be nice to only have to pay for what you can use in a year.” It is important to note that you are paying for far less than you can accomplish in a year.

If you go to a studio you will pay for every lesson regardless of whether you improve or not. In this situation you are truly paying for what you can accomplish in a year. If it takes you 12 sessions to learn the fireman spin you pay for 12 sessions, if it takes you 5 sessions you will pay for 5. At StudioVeena.Com you pay one very reasonable fee then use our lessons as much as you would like.

Please think of it as learn all you want for $99 or $20/month or $35 every two months, rather than mentally assigning a value to each lesson based on an amortization of the fee divided by a number of lessons. With about 400 lessons that makes each lesson worth a quarter which I think everyone here would agree is absolutely not the case.

    A few things:

    1) WOW!!! This is becoming an amazing thread. The value you guys attribute to Veena’s lessons is amazing. There are some great ideas here which is what we were really looking for with this thread.

    2) Don’t anyone worry. While we appreciate that there are people who find that much value here, we will not charge for any feature other than the lessons. When Veena started pole dancing the forums available were catty and mean, Youtube was and still is less than ideal and the pole community was fragmented. One of our core values is to provide the community features completely free of charge so that pole dancers never have to experience that again. this is very very important to us.

    3) It seems that the range of available financial arrangements might not be super clear, so I might need to work on that. If the $99 is too much for someone up front your have the $20 per month and the $35 per month, additionally every new user gets sent an early upgrade option giving you the first month for $10 if you want to try it, and as many of you are aware we run sales quite frequently as well.

We so appreciate the love we get from the community, and while its hard work from the time we wake up until the time we go to bed this is an endeavor thats worth it. It’s nice to hear that you all realize that Veena’s rapid responses come at a cost, I can’t tell you how many times we’ve been about to go to bed sometime north of midnight and Veena still has just a couple comments she’s got to reply to before bed or one more email.

I want you to know how much you all mean to her.

The lessons do work on the iPad and iPad mini as does the whole site. We’ve actually put a lot of time and effort into insuring that the site scales across platforms.

PayPal does offer the guest option on physical purchases, like a pole for example. On digital purchases they don’t. I think it has to do with the intransigent nature of the purchase and their need to control funding to a more precise degree. Essentially its a protection for the buyer, that way if there is a complaint PayPal can simply shift the funds back to the buyer’s account and avoid the chargeback process completely.

Alexis Corinne – That’s an interesting suggestion. We have definitely considered it but we have concerns over the storage of financial information. Currently, despite the bad rap it gets, PayPal is actually a much more secure and far less loss prone way to pay than a standard credit card.

When you consider the security breaches at multi-billion dollar companies like Target I hesitate to put StudioVeena at the legal risk that is possible when you handle card information.

How do you feel about the storage of financial information? After having my card number stolen I actually find myself trying to use PayPal (which is connected to my card) everywhere I can online to prevent the theft of said information again.

BkM1 – What do you consider a serious discount or trial, price wise? We give everyone three free days that gives you unlimited access to all the lessons and at $99 ($79 if they are on sale) you get far more content than you will out of any DVD set that will ring up for a much higher cost and doesn’t offer a free trial.

My feeling is that people complain about everything. People complaining about pole dancing gets news coverage because its sensationalization has more entertainment value than covering people complaining about rusty cars, those kids skateboarding in the parking lot or other people’s kids.

When we started StudioVeena pole dancing was much more of a social taboo but responses to finding out Veena is a pole dancer has changed from “Does your husband mind?” to “I’ve seen that and think its amazing.” Because of this I don’t put much stock in the naysayers any more because they will always be there.

August 3, 2014 at 2:28 pm in reply to: Whats it like to pole as a job?

Here I think is the key:

Having a passion for pole and a passion for teaching pole are two completely different things.

If you like to pole dance you should pole dance.

If you don’t enjoy teaching don’t teach pole dance it will destroy your love for pole (this applies to any activity)

If you don’t love business don’t start a pole studio it will destroy your love for pole (also the same for any activity)

Dancing, teaching and business are three completely different things and having a passion for the first doesn’t mean doing either of the other two in the field is a good idea.
