VB, I have the same problem. Did you ever get the Flexibility book that was talked about on here? He has some really good shoulder exercises. There are some youtube videos that were made for volleyball that I found that were pretty good also…I will try to find them later when I get home and post the link for you.
Thanks Chemmie…yeah I have the book lol…guess I should try reading it a bit! I am so bad about practice/stretching on my own…with a trainer/teacher etc I rock…on my own I’m a lump. I can do classes or train with someone like a rock star but on my own – major FAIL. I need to be more dedicated when I am not under supervision https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif

I had an X Pole…I have a multi piece PS pole and I have a Lil Mynx pole. Honestly for ease of use I always go to my Lil Mynx – for me putting up the X pole and the PS was always a pain in the butt…maybe I just didn’t do it enough to really get it down also the X Pole would stick from time to time. If I had a room where I could keep the pole up I would probably just use my PS or an X Pole but honestly I like all 3 https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

My husband must be the odd one out…he loves that I love to pole dance and is DYING to watch me dance – if I just walk around in thigh highs and he is a happy boy…haha – but no…a dance hasn’t happened yet. I barely even practice around him – unless I really need a spot for something inverted. In general I dance for me…one day I will dance for him…I keep saying that but really it’s been like 5 years now so I must have some weird hang up https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_question.gif

Pole tricks are kinda like boobs. Some like big ones, some like small ones, some like interestingly shaped ones, some like average ones, but in the end of the day, they’re all boobs and they are all good.
hahahaha…well said! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

HAHA…Chem,

The shirred shorts are a fake out though https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif the strings are just for look and they are some weird material…no lycra or cotton…
the fringed shorts however are FAB!!!!!! Big fun…so me…I got the fringed top and matching skirt too lol

yup https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif it’s funny – I can see a move and go WOW that’s really hard and the strength needed to do it is impressive…and I might even really work towards nailing/learning the move myself – but I’m never going to do it in a dance. There are so many moves that I can do that I never bother to do while I am dancing for numerous reasons…I like to freestyle and never really plan anything out…anything that I need to think about too much or can’t really flow into just never seems to make it into my dance.
Now the funny thing is I REALLY like to be able to do some of these moves them when practicing – for my own reasons…pride, strength, growth etc but I never actually really care to do them in my dances and kinda feel EH about them in others lol…UNLESS someone has a new twist to them or really manages to flow into them without me feeling like they are just throwing tricks for tricks sake.
For me it’s much more about dancing…I think that this probably carries over from my ex gymnast days…things were pretty trick based and while there was *dance* in our routines too much personality and individuality was not actually a good thing…everything was so trick based – I think I am rebeling in my old age https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
