How frustrating!!!!! Just let them hang a freakin plant hook, then you’ll know where the stupid stud is, oh, I dont’ know…..I can’t believe how annoying. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif You could try showing them an installation video?? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

Pole dance can whip your body into fantastic shape, no doubt….but for those who do not have a background where strength was involved, you tend feel stuck a bit sooner than some with the more strength based moves. When that happens adding some weight training can be helpful…you can even do strength work with your pole ( I have a full body work out in the lessons ) It can also be that your not positioning your body right while trying the grip…If you only watching videos and not hearing any instruction, you could be missing a small but important body adjustment. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Get one Tara….I wanna see you dance again. I really love the X stage, and it does adjust to fit uneven surfaces…not crazy uneven and it has feet that you can extend out if you feel your spins are to vigorous, this will make the base even more stable. I have never had to add weights or stick out the legs. It has spin mode too!! Here is my first time dancing on my X stage…I"m kinda tentative because I wonder if my neighbors are looking! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

I had a new Platinum stages stainless steel pole for my first pole and I have to tell you I had the worst time with grip. Stainless will become grippy over time and really heavy use. I lived in a colder climate and as a beginner I would become very discouraged with the lack of grip using SS. As so as I switched to the X pole Chrome the grip was so much better, I was kinda upset that I didn’t have that to begin with. Brass can be too grippy for beginners, but once your advance you may love it. I still prefer the chrome finish anything more grippy is too much, because I enjoy doing static spins. X pole does sell the titanium gold finish which is about the same grip as brass, but I still love chrome. There are a lot of things that affect your grip and finish is only one factor, here is an article that might help. Think about the climate where you live and go from there. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
