I’ll be doing the "lesson" this weekend. for this move. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I hold onto my leg with my arm on the other side of the pole (not in front but behind)….a little more difficult than the pose in the photo. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I personally call don’t call them "spins" if your using a spinning pole…I call them Holds, because the pole its self it moving and your really only "holding" the position as the pole moves you.
On a static (non spinning) pole I call any move where YOU rotate around the pole a spin. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/alien.gif

Ok I’m not good at typing out instruction…video is much better, but here goes….
Be sure your gripping the pole between BOTH legs.
Bend down so your upper body is moving towards your hooked/bent leg
Using the same side as the hooked leg…. bring the arm down below you to help stop yourself, keep the top arm in place until you feel secure in your bottom arm. You can speed this up once you know where your going.
MAINTAIN CONTACT WITH THE POLE BETWEEN BOTH LEGS AT ALL TIMES, until you have your shoulder dismount grip in position and you feel secure. The leg contact is the MOST important part at this point
The hand that was the top hand becomes your secure position for the Shoulder Dismount.
Quickly move the lower hand in to place so it becomes the top hand (for the dismount). MAINTAIN CONTACT WITH THE LEGS until the very last second!!
Make sure you stay tucked so you don’t bang your collarbone on the pole on your way down.
Do it slowly at first…then you can speed it up.
It really feels like your flipping down the pole https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

You can try inverting on tippy toes first. Don’t cheat and put your heel down, stay up on your toes. Its harder to invert with heels because your balance is a bit off and you can’t cheat and jump as easily and of course your leg line is longer….Just keep at it and you’ll get it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

Yes Morgan…you can leave the pole pieces together if you want, just loosen the adjuster rod and put it away as one piece. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

I really feel your struggle Loopy, https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif It can be really stressful to deal with. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif
I am no longer a Christian but, depending on your religion it is very much a problem…..I know all to well the worries of the stumbling block and boundaries. I skipped MOST of my school functions because there was dancing. Never listen to secular (non christian) music, watch only G rated movies and I avoided certain people because they might cause me to "stray". This is how I was taught and raised. I spent all of my childhood and too much of my adult life stressing about right and wrong and what is ok and not ok as a Christian, when it came to sexuality. I missed most of the early 90s pop culture. LOL I will still sometimes get physically ill in a bar or place that I was taught was "dirty". It can be really ingrained into people that certain things are very wrong or my cause you to burn in the eternal damnedness of hell.
You have to sit down with your husband and talk about it…..don’t over think the whole WWJD what would Jesus do thing, you could drive yourself mad https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_shaking2.gif Live a good honest life and if your not hurting someone else than what you do is your business. Never hide something from your partner either!!
Sissy gave you some good advice!
Also there is nothing wrong with looking at someone else and finding them attractive….its human nature!! We are beautiful creatures and should enjoy ourselves and others. Just because you or he finds someone else attractive doesn’t mean your in LOVE with that person. And it doesn’t mean you love your partner any less either. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
The only thing we know for sure its that we are living this ONE life right NOW, enjoy it!! I hope you get to show your man what you know https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
