Veena, what do you mean 3 old lessons to replace? I’m hoping to begin your online lessons in a month or so, will there be a change in what’s available? Thanks!
I have 3 old lessons I will be replacing, from then on all lessons will be totally new!!
Veena has just simply been re-recording some of the older lessons.
The new ones are way better cuz of the quality of video stream…….
Otherwise, they are pretty much the same lesson……just way better quality!!Am I correct in this veena??

So far I have had no complaints about my Belly and Pole dance vid, so that’s surprising. I’m sure they’re coming. Every single video I post to YT gets complains and rude comments. I feel your frustration…I just moved and now have 8ft ceilings and I’m 5’8". I have been doing all of my Shoulder mounts and variations from a seated position on the floor. I can do it standing but I need to make sure I have stepped away from the pole so I am more horizontal going into the move then Vertical. Take care of those forearms!! Like Roxy said, make sure you warm up your hand/wrist/forearms well before dancing and stretch after. If you don’t take care to strengthen or do preventive work like warm up and stretch you will end up with some kind of chronic pain that can put you off the pole for MONTHS! I do have lessons for both exercises and stretches just for the forearms, that are very beneficial for new and seasoned polers. As mentioned said before this isn’t the kind of pain you should push through. Massage works wonders also, happy healing! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gif

Always stretch your forearms after EVERY pole session! Like the other ladies said, massage does wonders as well. Also that bottom are shouldn’t be taking on much of the weight at all, it should mostly be on the top arm. And when in the bracket position be sure that your bottom arm isn’t crossing over your body.

I’m so sorry to hear that. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif Sounds like possibly both an issue of poor technique and lack of strength. I have long thin limbs…I’m not hardy in that department, lol…. but its possible to have injury free training. Now of course accidents happen but that’s not what I’m talking about. One other very important thing!….. Make sure your stretching and massaging your hands and forearms properly after EVERY pole dance session!! It didn’t sound like you were taking the lessons here, but just in case…here are some that could be helpful.

If your looking to spin or to slowly turn your superman. Try working on the top hand placement. You can give yourself a little turning motion if you place the top hand so its flexed then as you drop the hips into position use the flexed hand to also turn your body.

You want to be very close to the spine (not on it) You don’t want to be too high up on your neck or to low on your back…it will differ slightly from person to person so play around with it. In addition to the obvious hand/upper body strength..be sure your really engaging your abs!!! Start with the regular pencil (don’t arch your back) Stay close to the pole. Once you have control over the pencil then you can work on the Broken/Rubber Variation. This one requires hip flexor and shoulder flexibility and the ability to arch your back.
