I would think cool mist would work fine. I use my fabric steamer, that's HOT, but only to clean the poles. I leave it run for a bit, so I can warm my legs and hands, but my room is so big it doesn't make much difference. We have a humidistat in our house anyway.

@ Feed Stacy Tacos (giggles at name) That's hard to say. My suggestion on the x pole Brass working better for sweaty hands is just a thought. I know some girls love the x pole brass, and others it doesn't work with their body chemistry. I personally never have to wipe my hands from sweat…if anything my hands are too dry to grip. I think that is why the TG works well for me.
I lived in CA for a while when I first had my TG. I did get sweaty sometimes because my pole was upstairs and we didnt' have AC. I would slip a bit then. So maybe the brass would work for you?

I have both the xpole brass and tg. I live in a cold climate, have dry skin, and rarely sweat. The TG is my favorite finish out of any finish. I can grip even when my skin is cool.
The Brass didn't work for me at all. I could grip with my hands if they were really hot, but that was it. My legs and body didn't work with that finish.
I suggest thinking about your climate and skin type. If you tend to sweat more go with brass, if you tend to be cold and dry get the TG. TG in a warm climate is a skin ripper, but I love it.

Have you tried the X pole Brass finish? I found their brass doesn't work for me. BUT I have dry skin and live in a cold climate, so I rarely sweat. Even in summer I don't sweat much.
Has anyone tried the x pole brass with sweaty hands/body?

Its a good idea englann! Pretty sure my pain was caused by carrying my kids on the same side. I didn't have a pole back then! I don't do everything on both sides but most things. The exercise I mentioned help tremendously.
