This is a great post to see. You never know how many other polers out there feel too shy to post. So I'm glad you shared your experience with us!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif

I suggest deep flexibility training for a (particular muscle group) no more than 3 times per week. This is assuming you're not a pro dancer, contortionist or something of that nature. I find from personal experience that training everyday will cause me to tighten up.
Have you tried using a foam roller to stretch? I use a roller in the lessons for stretching, so you could take a look at those as well
So for example you could do the Front Splits routine Monday, The Back Mobility routine on Wednesday and the Middle Splits routine on Friday. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Hello https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gifIf you're interested in hooping I have lesson here. Also, even though you don't yet have a home pole, the lesson include many conditioning, strength, flexibility and floorwork that can be done without a pole!

That’s the thing Lovely, you’re right. Everyone will react differently. I do think that for most of us we don’t have to vaccum up skin! So putting on lotion right before isn’t recommended. There will
Always be exceptions 🙂 -
Silverlady there is no need to be rude….
Everyone, lotion can be helpful, BUT do not apply lotion right before dancing, you need to wait hours before dancing or you'll have a greasy mess.
How you and your pole react to each other will depend on weather, pole room condition, your skin, if you sweat or not and how comforable with the moves you are. But regardless of finish you can learn to work with what you have. Sometimes it's as simple as warming up, or turning off the AC,
To clean my pole Alcohol, or hot steam, from a clothing steamer or iron works wonders. Grip aids will gunk up your pole, so use them ONLY if you have to.

It wont show up on the front page, but only shows up when you're on a page where you can share. It's a small purple tab on the upper right side. Let us know if you don't see it.

Tigger, did the epis really take off all the hair? Or did it leave patches behind? I have issues with waxing where there's always patches of hair left. 🙁

Welcome to the site!! Everyone has some great advice! Make sure your starting with some strength building first to condition your body. Many moves seem impossible the first time, and before you know it tah dah! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Have you seen someone about the Kneecap and running issue? It sounds like you could have an muscle imbalance. Have you tried the straddle with knees up and also with knees forward? Some will find one more comfortable than the other.

Oh Polergirl!!!!! I enjoy watching your videos, you ARE sexy, I've always thought that. Have you looked around on here, we've got some lovely ladies posting. I find my inspiration watching videos here and you've been one of those who've inspired me! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif New tricks are ok, but honestly I would rather just see a nice heartfelt performance.
I met someone the other day and she has a blog you might wanna check out if your feeling low. She became a member here "Wrinkletalk" ……. I just have to get her on a pole. Here's her blog http://diaryofawrinkle.com/ https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Hi there, and welcome! SashaMae, has some great suggestions! Sensual is right, you shouldn't pole everyday as a beginner. If you're interested, the lessons here have strength, conditioning flexibility, routines, and even hooping! We're always here to help you if you have more questions. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
