Yes, you would need to have a solid caterpillar climb. It’s about having the control of the upper body while in hold so you can safely position the legs. 🙂

Zoiiys, Brass Monkey from a CAR is one of the more difficult ways to move into Brass Monkey. I teach it as an advanced move.
lilredrobinhood, how are you entering into your Brass Monkey? I teach it from an elbow or forearm grip straight edge because it’s easier to ‘sink into’ the knee pit grip from there. Entering from a shoulder mount is a good option too if you are very secure in your SM. I really feel a strong caterpillar and elbow or forearm straight edge is needed to learn a secure Brass Monkey.

I cover both static and spinning pole. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4fc4dc2f-1bd8-4026-9725-02690ac37250 You’ll find 6 related lessons below the main lesson that you can use to condition and stretch for this spin. Also keep in mind this is not an easy spin and it’s not for beginners.
The technique is a bit different between the 2, you don’t use the same body placement and you don’t focus on stepping the body far away from the pole as you would in a static reverse grab. 🙂
If you’re pole has become slick try steam cleaning it, if it’s slick from sweat try a product like Dirty Girl Poletice.

I have 2 LED hoops, they are a lot of fun, however the ones I have are challenging to work with because of the battery. It’s like hooping with a small weight on one side and it throws some hand hooping and off body hooping off balance. Also the hoops are slick and even though I sanded down the inside they still slip a lot on clothing and my hands if they’re cold.

Loving these photos guys! I’m hoping to find time to play outside soon!!

-Stay with Upright moves for the first few sessions on spin so avoid inverting right away
-Change direction, switching the direction you spin can help equalize fluid in the ear
-Avoid heavy meals or over eating before spin (of course right! lol)
-Keep your spin sessions short and work up to longer times on the pole
-After coming down from spinning look directly at the pole, this will split your line of sight and can help stop the spinning. This video has tips for spin mode too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtinAzp17s0
