If you have the lessons you’ll find SG alternatives for some spins I try to show you a few options 😊 For pole moves try using the partial split grip, this uses the bicep more. https://www.studioveena.com/galleries/view/4f875a2b-3224-4049-908f-3f900ac37250

What they all said. Also try to remember to always stretch your forearms and hands after poling and work on strengthening them 3 times a week too. If you have the lessons you’ll find both stretches and conditioning work for the hands and forearms.

Have you tried not using grip aids? I find when I use them I get serious calluses but it’s not nearly as bad without grip aid. Also when I use my brass pole I get bad calluses but not on my powder coated pole, so it could be the finish of the pole too?

Are you working on anything from the ground like leg hangs and reverse handstands? Also try working on Ballerinas and their variations, just keep in mind these require shoulder, hip flexor flexibility and spinal mobility. I’m not sure if you have the lessons but there are a bunch of combos/mini routines to work on…. I believe 30 of them and none of them require an invert!

I’m guessing someone here may know of a studio in that area. There’s also the option of using the lessons here. I have created them with a focus on beginners and everything is placed in order for you.

It’s great to be able to both studio and home poling. We have amazing lessons on the site here, far more content then you’ll find on any DVD set. 😉

The fish flop is different then the shoulder roll, the shoulder roll is what is best to start with as the fish flop takes more control. I show you how to avoid rolling on the neck by using proper head placement. 😊
