Wait, didn’t you just start poling again?! Don’t get too frustrated yet. xoxo Keep working on hip holds of all kinds and working on flexibility. Jade is not something that most people can just do. You can grab over or under what ever works. I like to do a half jade first and by that I mean fully extending the free leg FIRST while keeping the opposite leg tucked until you are not able to extend any more, this will help stop the teeter totter effect. So work on the half jade for a bit. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4fbcefc8-f118-469b-a3f6-42890ac37250

Quality is a big deal! Depending on the quality of the video cam keep in mind some might make you look weird, they just do. Other things to consider, the angle you use and lighting make a HUGE difference in how the body and face looks. Don’t stress too much about how you look physically on video, you make look totally different in person, for the reasons listed above. π Play with angles and light.
Now, take the rest as a learning experience! When you see things in playback like flexed feet, it’s a good thing, it will allow you to fix that. You can’t make a positive change without an understanding or having knowledge of the negative. Not that flexed feet are the end of the world but you get what I mean! Filming yourself is a great way to improve your dancing for that reason. Also never feel like your video isn’t good enough to share, because of the quality of dance, video, editing, physical appearance anything!! You might post something where you feel this or that is all wrong, only to hear comments pointing out the GOOD things you may have missed.

These two routines strength and lengthen the muscles used to allow for a straight leg invert. The routines improve leg lines over all as well.

Take the fan down! π We rent and we’ve removed fans so we can put up a pole!

Oh yep that spin I would call a corkscrew, variation. If you have a strong side pole hold it will help you lift the body away so the boobs don’t get mashed. π Here is another interesting variation on the Corkscrew spin, this video is OLD….2009!! https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/8ff889c2-bafd-11df-856f-001b214581be

If you have an issue with something that goes on in the studio I would suggest talking with the owner and the instructor who made you feel uncomfortable. Be honest about how it made you feel, they may assume that everyone who attends their studio is comfortable with this type of situation, because they are ok with it. People can’t fix what they are not aware of.
Here’s my though on it…..I love giving lap dances, but I personally would never grab a random someone from a pole studio audience unless everyone involved already knew that a lap dance was in the plan. Lap dancing can be very sexual to some and not a big deal to others so when contact of that nature happens everyone involved needs to be comfortable with it.

Yes! Everyone should have a candy cane pole pic!!

With the Xpert there is no need to add anything to the base, it already has a nice silicon grip on the base. I’ve put my x poles on all types of flooring including hardwood without issue. I think you may have been reading about the Lil Mynx pole that has an option of a skid pad for hard floors. I’m pretty sure xpole would not recommend adding a skid pad to their pole.

Hmmm I would say tape sounds like a good option. I don’t have any ideas myself. Let us know if the tape works!

Also I personally do not use the Cross Ankle Release much I prefer the Cross Knee Release. For most moves you can change out using the CAR for CKR. π
