As Lyme mentioned there are also foam roller lessons that work well for aiding in improving flexibility.https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Hey Arieswolf I grew up in ND https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Anyway, I'm not sure how your entering into the move, but if you're taking the lessons you may want to try it from the first method of entry I show, the flat line. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/f7c4b070-b91e-11df-856f-001b214581be being able to open up at the hips is necessary for this move to be comfortable.

All brands of brass tend to be more difficult to work with if you live in a cold climate so keep that in mind. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

I want to remind everyone that not all moves are suitable for everyone or every body type! Many of the "signature" moves performed by those who compete are signature because that dancers body is capable of moving in that way. If there is ever a move where you cannot clear the ribs you shouldn't push. Chances are you need more flexibility (or perfected placement) before moving on to that move. There's no reason to feel you have to learn every pole move there is. Listen to your body and live to pole another day.

Hi! Yes there are many individual stretching lessons in addition to those I have 3 flexibility routines. the routines are all about 20 minutes long! 2 routines for the splits and 1 for back mobility.

You don’t need a foam roller, it’s just an option I have for you. 🙂

Please feel free to start one! I would suggest having the subject be 30 day take off, so its easy to find or search. I'm so please you're enjoying it!

I think you are over thinking things. I use to do this and when that happens you end up doing nothing because you've spent all your energy on over thinking! lol 3 hours to workout is a LOT!!!! My average workout session is 1 hour. Sometimes I really get into dancing and end up doing 2 or sometimes I'm short on time and just do 20 mins.
Have you thought about using the 30 take off program….everything is done for you, from the warm up you need to the stretches at the end. I even explain why we are doing what we do that day so you can take that info and apply it later. I also tell you what to do on rest days!
It's a perfect guideline for someone who doesn't know where to start!

Oh I remember that feeling!!! I would try to fit my dancing in right after I fed, that way I was more comfortable. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

You DO take a break between reps when there are multiple sets. Otherwise it would just say 20 reps. It's also nice to change things up a bit and forgo sets and just do high reps. Multiple sets come in handy when you're new the strength training or lifting very heavy weight as well.

Lyme, The only time I grip a Brass pole well is if my BODY is sweaty, so the skin has to be moist. Summer months only for me with brass. Heating the pole or grip aids do not help my body grip brass. If you've used a lot of grip aids you could try steam cleaning the pole if you haven't already.

If you're looking at the tops I can really wear a few sizes. I'm not large chested at all and I've worn up to a large. Because they have the ties I'm able to adjust enough to fit. I bet they'll also have new colors for the new year as well!!

I have a few lessons on proper placement for elbowstands as well.

The lessons here are a wonderful guide 😉

I would go with a yoga hammock 🙂 I bought mine from aerial empowerment online. She was having a sale a few months ago and is a sv member so you may want to see if she is still having a sale.

I say add it! It may give you an edge if they are at all like the US reality shows. They love anything that makes someone seem scandalous! Just be aware they could make it sound like a negative thing….but I may give you a chance to set them straight as to what pole dance is. That is what we need to continue to grow, spread the word 🙂
