I know mighty grip sells crash mats that fit around your pole. I bought 2 of these off Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Harbinger-340400-Part-Exercise-Black/dp/B00074H89A/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1386992919&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=tri+fold+crash+mat

AdministratorDecember 13, 2013 at 5:42 pm in reply to: how to avoid ‘leprechaun legs’ in cartwheel mount? That’s a fantastic name for it!!! haha Everyone has great tips. I don’t have much to add, just keep at it. I will said that doing a cartwheel, (head goes forward and down) is usually easier to master straight legs then the handspring, (head back and down)!

Everyone has great advice! In addition to magnesium and potassium I’ve been told calcium is helpful for those who suffer from muscle cramps. Staying hydrated is super important too. I agree that it could just be your muscles working so hard that they cramp.

Over all my power coated pole has a more consistent grip, however if my room is cold then even my pc, can be an issue. Not as bad as metal finish poles but still not amazing in the very cold weather. I have a video I’m uploading right now that might give you a solution to your cold pole problems!!!
-
It’s the number of times you do each exercise in a row. So you would perform 9 Knee tucks in a row then move on to the next exercise.
-
I’m not sure what you’re asking Alina?

You are not alone! I have the same issues with chrome and even Titanium and brass in the cold weather. I step away for a minute and then my body has cooled enough that I can’t grip. I’ve been using my Brass x pole this week and started mixing Dew point with Mighty grip on top. I can now grip the pole cold! However, I haven’t tried it on my chrome or titanium. On the brass it works amazing! Next time I dance I’ll put my chrome up and give it a try!!

Nothing wrong with some cheeks!! 👠lol I get that some like modesty but would personally love to see more of society less offended by sexuality.

Jacquespinz, being that you do other physical activity sounds like 2 times a week is a good fit! To change things up a bit you could replace the Pole Strength Routine, with the Shoulders and abs routine one day and the Chest and Back the next time you do your pole workout! So you can rotate through those workouts!

So it’s been years since my abs have been sore after pole dance. Practicing this 12 days of xmas song however has made them sore!!!! It’s a great way to condition, lol
This morning I FINALLY made it through without stopping, but messed up. Will try again in a day or 2! I’d like to do it without any mistakes. I’ve save the video from today just incase I can’t pull it off!!!
Oh and feel free to even post attempts and clips try the 12 days. I can’t wait to see some more Holiday dances too! xoxox

1 Yes you can place a lessons in your Favorites.
2 You don’t have to, but you SHOULD perform the lessons in order. My method of teaching is often different than other studios. Also each lesson builds on the next so they are all placed in a particular order to allow for safe and fast strength building and progression. At the very least, watch EACH Getting Started Lesson placed at the beginning of a new section. These all have great tips and suggestions for using the lessons.
The 30 day take off program is also included in the lessons and it will give you 30 days of lesson plans! 🙂
You can also ask me questions about a lesson from that lesson at any time and I get back to you ASAP.
Under each of the main lessons you’ll find a list of related lessons to work on. These will help you achieve whatever we are working on in the main lesson. Sometimes you’ll find stretches to do, other pole work, strength work or all of the above.
Let me know if you have any other questions. 🙂

Even if you can only lift the leg a little it’s totally fine! Again if your shoulders are tight use a strap behind the pole. 🙂
-
How are you twisting the grip, as in for a shoulder mount? The Veena grip is not used for the Pole Leg Lifts. The grip you use is a Cup Grip, this grip is the best for that exercise allowing you to pull equally with both hands against the pole. It’s a cup grip with the arms up much higher over head. If it’s a lack of flexibility that makes the move uncomfortable then try placing a yoga strap or belt around the pole hold. For the exercise to be effective you need to be able to pull with the hands against the pole as you lift the legs. 🙂

Very happy for you!!! ðŸ˜

I always suggest buying a pole for your body’s skin, not for hands. If you have sweaty hands every pole will be an issue to some degree. I use to love my tg until I moved to Vegas and find I sweat a lot in summer. Now PC and brass works when I sweat. I don’t know where the SV PC falls under. All I know is they’ve done a special 2 coat process making it grippy but “softer” feeling.
