Nice work!
You’ll want to bring the hips forward more and straighten the bottom leg. There are a few ways to enter into this move, I find the Gemini (outside leg hang) works well giving a nice grip with the knee pit, a good placement overall. Also, you may want to try placing the pole on the back of the calf instead of the foot.
Work on Adductor, hamstring, and oblique strength to improve this move. Check out the lesson here for even more help if you haven’t already, read the descriptions and watch the related lessons for extra help!! Here’s the lesson for this, https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4cbf2cc3-01c0-4abb-963b-2af60ac37250 I don’t know what level you are at or what moves you can do so keep in mind that in the lessons here I place everything in a progressive order allowing you to work up to each move. Good luck!

I’m so happy you guys are enjoying the challenge!! I love seeing the tags pass through my IG account! 😊

Are you trying to do an elbowstand (head DOES touch) or Forearm stand (head totally off floor)? Forearm is more advanced and requires more strength in the shoulders!
If you’re doing elbowstand the head will contact the floor but the majority of the pressure isn’t on it, however you’ll still feel it for sure.

Be sure that if you do choose to train things like inverts and leg lifts you’re engadging the proper muscle groups and not doing too many reps as this could cause over use of the hip flexors😊

You’ll find stuctued workout ideas in the lessons! Try using the 30 days to flexy! You could also use the 30 day take off program and just skip any pole work. Most of the strength and conditioning found in this program can be done without a pole using s doorway or just the resistance bands.
The take off program will build strength and flexibility and the 30 days to flexy will focus more on flexibility and mobility alone. 💜

How exciting! Keep in mind when you purchase the lessons you’ll have full access to all the lessons not just beginner! This way you can also use the flexibility, conditioning and things of that nature too! 😊

The lessons here are actually great of new dancers because they are all placed in order, there’s no guessing as to what is level appropriate!
I have 175 lessons that DO NOT require a pole!!!!! Routines, stretching, conditioning, you name it! More are being added all the time as well, this number does not even include the hula hooping lessons! Strength and conditioning along with stretching is a great way to work on improving your pole sessions in studio! 🙂

I will only be able to see your posts if you @studioveena. If you only hashtag I would have to look for your profile everyday and that would not be possible with so many people playing. To qualify be sure to include @studioveena and @insp_ector in the description with your #svlyralolly 😊

If you guys want to repost something to IG there are several options. The easiest suggestion is to Google “how to repost to Instagram” You’ll see several apps suggested and other info.
Repost my first post, the pink one with all the words and the info on how to join. You only do this once.
Then to join in the challenge post yourself doing the exercises I demonstrated the day before. For example today you will post the Forward and back scapula. You must tag @studioveena and @Insp_ector along with including the hashtag #SVlyralolly
