Tropical, are they sure it’s a brass pole? That behavior sounds like titanium gold.

If you sweat TG gets slick so brass works better if you’re a sweater 😉 Maintaining isn’t hard, I don’t mind that mine doesn’t look super shiny, if you want to keep is super polished than it will take some effort but I don’t bother. Lol

I’ve got every type of finish and have lived in all kinds of climates and brass seems to be the finish that works the best over all and favorite size is 40mm. I LOVE my sv powder coated pole but they don’t make it any more and the xpole PC pole finish isn’t as grippy as the SV pole was so I’d say brass, TG gets slick if you live around humidity as does chrome.

I always have at least one full rest day a week…I don’t workout at all! On active rest days I hula hoop, clean the house, walk or do some easy movement dancing, nothing where I have to lif the my body much lol

Yes, grip is part of it so sweaty or dry skin can make climbs more challenging. If it’s sweat don’t use itac as that is better for dry cold skin. Try Dry hands or Might grip like Robin suggested.

I’ve been working on planning out the Shoulder Mount program! I can’t say how soon it will be finished because with the kids and life I never know for sure when I can record. But the first step is to plan it out!

January 9, 2017 at 4:39 pm in reply to: Shoulder flexibility routine?

There’s not a routine just for shoulders yet, almost anything you would need shoulder flexibility for you need flexibility in the back or chest too so if you want a routine use the Back Mobility, it’s not just for the back.

Also remember all lessons are in order so if there is a muscle group you want to focus on whether it’s to strengthen or stretch, read the descriptions to see what muscles are focused on (if you’re not sure) then you can start with the first lesson listed for that muscle group and work your way down the list because I have things grouped by muscles and in order according to difficulty. 🙂

If you start with the Camel stretch https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4decd31f-e1b8-48f7-9bd4-046f0ac37250 You’ll find 11 more stretches that target the shoulders! Just click next to see them in order. 🙂

I’ve got two! One is the xpole black pc and the other is by Lil Mynx…it was our branded studioveena pole, so it’s purple. Both are 45 mm poles. Let me know of you’d like to come try them!

That’s good to hear, it seems these days people only know about the TG grip and have never even seen a cartwheel mount or handspring, makes me feel old! lol
