@miss kitty – I am considering a brass one piece. I already have the ceiling mount (vaulted). Is 10′ too tall to have a 45? If so I could live with a 50, but I already have a 50 SS

hi lyme, i always have my dominant (right) hand on the bottom, which means i invert to the left of the pole.  the best advice i can give for not letting that leg drift away, is try to keep your chest square to the pole.  i had the same problem.

so sorry to hear about your daughters, paulette.  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif   i hope they are out of the hospital and feeling better soon!  and that things return to normal so you can get back to poling!

@nymphdancer – so sorry!  that's so much to deal with all at once, i would be falling apart!  i'm glad your hubby is so awesome.

hugs to both of you!!  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif

chem, can it be done on a stainless steel PS pole?  not sure i want to do it though – i live in a warm humid climate, don't want to rip my skin or anything!

I highly recommend the Pole Room in Lahaina!  Amanda is awesome.  she has a website where you can register for a class (class size is limited so register in advance).  it's the only pole studio on the island at this time.  she has two l'il mynx SS 50mm poles.

unfortunately, Fit4aGoddess is no longer here – it was in Haiku (at Upcountry fitness).  The owner is hoping to get into a new location for the New Year.  I live in Haiku but it's a little far from Kihei.   hope you have a great vacation!!

so sorry to hear this, scandalicious  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif  i hope you find something that will bring in some cash quick.  i don't know anything about those sites.  i'm like chem, though, would rather work in a club.  it almost seems safer to me..  good luck, hun!!

the same thing happened to me when i ordered the tite grip II.  except they did send the new formula, i just thought it was the old.  how to tell – if the tube says "for hands and feet that sweat" then it is the new formula.  note – it is still orange, just lighter orange.  it does not say lavender, contain lavender, or smell like lavender.  i know, strange.

i have basically given up on grip aids.  i do like to rub some itac 2 on my body – inner thighs, back of knees, sides, and under arm – then leave whatever is left on my hands, and it does help.  i clean my pole with alcohol.  i live in a humid climate, and this is all that has worked for me.  everything else seems to make things more slippery than normal.

when i tried the distilled white vinegar on my pole (SS) – it was so slippery!  i'm wondering if it's because of the stainless?  alcohol works so much better for me.  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

i never wore makeup much, except in high school, until i was in my late 30's.  i was living in florida, i had bought a house, and i needed a second job.  so my friend who used to work at macy's in cosmetics told me, you should go work in cosmetics!  i laughed because i didn't even know how to put on makeup properly.  she said, just put on some lipstick and go in there..  and i got the job!  so for almost a year, i was the clarin's lady, lol :D.  after moving to oregon with a new boyfriend (now my husband), i continued wearing some makeup, but not as much.  now that i live on maui, i never wear it – because no one wears makeup here.  so i think alot of it just depends where you live and how you adapt to the culture.  but i think women are just as beautiful without it, and it is not a necessity at all.  hope that helps https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif

sorry to hear it didn't work at that studio.  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif  my friend who was teaching classes locally was asked to leave the space she was in (part of a gym), and now has to find a new space.  but i think the new space will be better and nicer!  these things happen for a reason, and it is true about the one door closing/another opening.  so you must be destined for something really great to happen!  and i think you will have your own studio one day, if you want it. 🙂

@madisonsworld –  the sleeve at the bottom might get in your way.  it's not very comfortable to slide over, you will def. feel it.  i slide over it in some cases, like if i'm in a tuck hip hold, and it's fine.  i've heard that the pole can be mounted either way (you can mount it so that the screw thread is up near the ceiling, usually without the sleeve, and then the bottom will just be all pole), but i have personally never tried that.  i think it's something that you would just get used to, the only other thing is you can't use the sleeve to grip for a cartwheel mount or handspring (or maybe you could, but i avoid it).  hope that helps 🙂

the xtreme super pole (lol) is definitely good for up to 10 feet.  mine is at 10 feet exactly, but can be extended even longer.  it sounds like it will work for you!  🙂

yes, only two screws are needed – you would place the square mount diagonally on the joist 🙂

@lizzy – what is the semi-permanent, is that a different mount for flat ceilings?
