I have Queen for Dance knee pads and really like them, not too bulky and they have a choice of smooth of grippy, I would say pick a size smaller than they suggest as they come up a little big. 💜

Runemist, could it be a stripper skip? I’ve seen Cleo do it with a heel clack as the feet come together, I’ve never dared to try it in heels, I’d be flat on my face without practicing 😋

There’s an interesting article on Pole Asana about the various pole cases & bits if it’s a help?

I own a pair of pleaser ankle straps & love them! They’re well made & work on some of my other pairs of non pole shoes as well.

I use the in shower body lotion from Nivea, not sure if you can get it in the states? I can’t always find it in the stores where I live but it well worth a try, it feels really moisturising but not yukky or oily and it smells gorgeous.

Whalen I worked long hours, I would do the unthinkable & begin a workout the moment I got back, it surprised me how good felt & also how much energy it gave me. Life always feels better after getting yourself on the move.

Have you tried googling ‘treasure chest stripper heels’ I’m sure there’s some with a lift up tab for putting your own goodies inside. I think they’re also completely clear.

Hi Cris, I’m no expert on this but can relate to your trouble, I have very mobile joints that can & will bend backwards, very painful when it’s the knees! What worked for me was focussing on not locking them out fully which can feel as though they’re still bent to you, but to everyone else they look perfectly straight, hope that makes sense? Do your elbows hurt when you do your handspring or just look alarming when you replayed the video? X

My greatest fear has to be falling, and coping with hands that decide to break out in a huge sweat just at the moment I seriously need good grip. My other fear is the excuses that I make to myself for not leaving my comfort zone & pushing myself to find how much I could achieve.

Hi Velvetvixen, I was definitely around then, I’ve been a member for about ten years now which makes me feel so old somehow! Great to have you back, I love the programs too as I work best when I have a structure to follow, polewarmers are brilliant aren’t they, I wonder how I ever managed to pole in the cold weather before. 💜

The permanent mount is a wonderful thing! Mine is slightly too wide for the wooden beam it sits on but the screws are within the width of the beam so it’s still completely safe. It makes such a huge difference having something dependable & strong above your head.

If the the warmers are rib-knitted ones then you could try sewing elastic thread into the top inch or so, kind of how the inside of sports socks are. It’s a bit faffy & time consuming I know, but it might offer a permanent fix.

Sounds like you’re describing an original screw threaded X pole, I used to have one & loved it. Mine had the clear/white silicone ring on the dome too. I never had any issues with it coming undone or anything though, I wish I still had it.

https://instagram.com/p/39bn9ilr-s/ I think I may have found it! Thank you to Tropical Verticals link on the Instagram video thread. The leg is in a slightly different position to how I imagined it, but what a lovely spin! 💜

One thing I would mention Panix, if you have the X Pole without the little o-rings going round the pole-to-dome adaptor, then it can sometimes get stuck slightly in the ceiling mount & come crashing down just after you remove the pole! I have a nice dent in my wooden floor after this happened to me.

Sorry for the confusion everyone, I meant to include a piccy of my setup which shows the ceiling mount & two separate eye bolts next to it on either side! The picture didn’t load because my internet is so crappy here! Wow, that would be too perfect if x pole had thought to build them in.

I have only an 8 foot high xpole & use a ceiling mount which I can’t recommend enough! It’s way easier to take the pole down & back up & a lot safer too. No more worries about whether the dome is still holding firm as the mount block holds the top of the pole completely captive. I needed the mount as the the beam is too narrow for the dome to be used safely. The two little things either side of the mount are aerial fixings for a hammock.

I used to have waxing done fairly regularly but it didn’t work as well as I’d hoped, so I bit the bullet & had a full Brazilian laser treatment which took over a year of seven treatments with regrowth cycles. O.M.G!! I could not believe how painful it was, but three years on there’s been hardly any regrowth. It works best on dark hair but it’s certainly not for everyone. I love the results however & I’d recommend it based on that.
