to do this reverse dismount, can you do this from basic invert like inverted crucifix? or what position can you do this from? (since i can’t do the shoulder mount yet) https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_albino.gif

thanks so much veena! i am purchasing lessons very soon, i was going to when i get paid next week bc i’ve got a lot of hours in at work, but then we had to replace the alternator in the car! of course! lol but i’m so excited to get lessons i hear they are amazing!

i believe what you are referring to is a diva sit or when upside down its a bomb.

my first and only pair of dancing shoes are 6" with a 1 or 2" platform. i find them comfortable but i wouldn’t mind going higher, although i don’t like the look of 7+" because the platforms look big and clunky to me lol

my advice is go to a real store where you can try on some sizes and brands, then shop online! i got a perfect fitting pair of ellies off ebay because i tried my size on in a store beforehand. also, on another note, i heard in a magazine or online that kitten heels are worse for your posture and spinal allignment than really high heels are. just a thought. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_albino.gif

the best thing to improve strength for inverts and esp the chopper is ab strength
-
i don’t know, but this is something i have been wondering as well!

Can you hold yourself just with the belly part…? You need to be able to do both before you roll over. If you can do both, my only advice is to SQUEEZE SQUEEZE SQUEEZE!! pull that leg in VERY tight, so that pole cant escape your thigh and belly!
would that be the same technique you need for doing a no-hands cradle?

once again if anyone is going from findlay oh area id love to ride with! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_albino.gif

i found that core strengthening is the best for me to improve on inverts

also they are describing everything exactly as it is with xpole so that is misleading. someone else told me fake x poles have a plastic top dome when it should be metal

good idea- maybe they will change their ad to say its just for posing or floor dancing
-
im not sure if u want advice on finding a good pole or what? why did you "have" to reply to the ad?

i warm up with a little dancing, for a song or so, there are some good warmup dances on youtube u can follow. then i work on moves im trying to get, then i’ll put it all together in a dance to a whole song. but lately ive just been going over my routine for a show im doing tom. at the end is when i stretch, i’d recommend not doing it right at the beginning bc your muscles won’t be warm yet and you could get a tear. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_albino.gif
