there are many certifications – Climb and Spin, Vertical Dance, ETED, Discoveries (thats done by Angel1201) etc. I would just look at them first and see what your getting for the price. I want to become an instructor but im starting with the real basics – im saving up for the group fitness certification by ACE. I would like the be certified in as much as I can but my hands on. You can never stop learning!

Thanks, mini. Another question(s)…is the software you use VideoPad Video Editor Software? What do you use to convert to wmm? Do you ever record vertical and have to rotate when uploaded to your pc so it will be vertical and not horizontal? Mine is also not good result when rotating in wmm to vertical when I record that way. I don’t like it. I purchased AVS video editor and like it, EXCEPT for the rotation feature. It comes out weird, I have one short vid of it here on sv. I really like AVS when recorded normal, but not to rotate, unless I’m doing something wrong. Same thing when rotat in wmm, comes out short and squaty. Haven’t posted one of those yet. Maybe a short one later tonight. Thanks for input!! If I’m going to take the time to record my practices, etc. might as well have decent result . Although, better pole skills might help, haha https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif

I dont covert to wmm. I use the VideoPad software. All my current videos are in .AVI format. I rotate mine in video pad and they dont look bad. Granted it took me a few min to figure out how to rotate my videos, but once I got it it was easy. My Porn Star, Breakdown and Polarity videos were edited with Video Pad. I had serious lagging issues when I converted my vids to WMM. I record vertical b/c you can see more of the pole and me, I like to climb high every now and then and hate getting my head cut off in the shot.

I think I need to bust out my TV production book and brush up on my skills.

another thing I like to do is, If I know the artist, I will go to itunes and pull up every song and listen to it. They only give you 30sec to sample and if you know the beat you can find it. Thats how I found Gods Gonna Cut You Down by Johnny Cash.

You could also look up the soundtrack for the movie and it should list all the songs on there, and let you sample it.

Another question, are you able in Windows Movie Maker to mute or remove background audio when recording? I can’t seem to find if WMM has the feature to do that. Sometimes the TV or background noise is going on when practicing and want to remove it and add music, etc. When I and music, the recorded background audo is there also.

In the timeline there should be something about the audio. You should see that the audio has its own timeline. You can mute that directly and use another audio on top of the video. Thats how I do my videos, to me it looks a bit more professional. I have degree in TV production so its good for me to use all my skills that I learned.

Since I cant find my camcorder ive been using my digital camera. I have a Kodak EasyShare with 8.2 megapixels. I did convert vids to play on WMM but they came out with a lagging and looked like crap. I downloaded an editing software by NCH and I love it more than WMM. Ive been using the free trial version and will evenutally buy the full version. Or until I find my camcorder.

I know Charley and I both used webs for ours. Im not very tech savvy when it comes to building a website and this was the general basics. Once i got the hang of it, my site totally improved.

Chel, Im sending you a trophy with a tiara!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_queen.gif As silly as it sounds, I work towards that kind of stuff – tiaras, sashes, trophies. I guess thats what happens when you were a National Cheerleaders Assoc. All-Star twice as a kid.

I know I’m not givin up! it’s just that my video was unique and different from all the other submissions I saw because I incorporated my ballet/lyrical dance training with my pole work and I have a different style that’s why I don’t get it. Not saying everyone elses were bad because they deffinitly were all awesome, but the styles were all similar and I though doing something different and unique would get noticed….they offered to critique in my rejetion letter so I asked them for it beause I really don’t understand what I did wrong, so I’m waiting for that!

thats what I did for my polarity one. I typically dont ask for feedback mostly in fear of what negitive comments they are gonna give me. But it was nice to have some feedback, they pointed out what they liked and what they didnt like. They thought mine was a freestyle and really didnt suit what they were looking for. Yeah I was bummed but you pick yourself up and get back on the horse and try again! Ive auditioned and tried out for things that are non pole related and I didnt get in or won. Its ok, makes me work harder to be better.

Its not like the kids are wearing 6 inch heels and hair flipping and rubbing thier bodies, they are learning pole and pole only. Im not a big fan of Fox News to begin with, I always felt like thier stories are about getting thier point across and they dont care whose toes they step on. A friend of mine was interviewed for CNN and they cut alot of her interview out and she had some great things to say. (I forget exactly what they were questioning her but shes a military widow and her and her boys visit his grave weekly and a foreign figured head was there the same day she was visiting her husband) Thats how the news goes sadly.

I wouldnt have a problem taking my kids to a pole class that took the sexy out and made it like a gymnastics class. Like a Mom and Me flexibility class. I cant tell you how many times ive seen my daughter try to climb a column in a store and shes never seen me pole! Or my son whose a full on daredevil and loves hanging upside down! So what if he thinks hes https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_batman.gif or https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_spiderman.gif for a second, he would be a great poler!

theres also CustomizedGirl.com and Customink.com. Ive worked with both and prefer the quality of CustomizedGirl. My CustomInk shirts were pricey (6 for alot of money b/c of all the printing they were doing).
