Im at a point where I was loyal to my studio for 6yrs and ive grown and changed and they arent going to fit my needs for right now (plus some other things went down, cant support someone who doesnt give me time of day but knows who I am).  And thats ok, we all grow and change and we do need to spread our wings and fly!  Im so ready to fly!

I think alot of them have contracts about teaching somewhere else while your teaching for them.  If I was an owner, Id encourage my instructors to branch out and try different classes/instructors.  Never stop growing as a teacher nor as a student!

Gymnastics, Swiming and field hockey.  I did all of those sports when I was younger.  I was a pretty fast swimmer and noticed the best weight loss doing it.  I was a field hockey goalie and gymnastics came with the many years of cheerleading I did.

Promos for sporting events really move me, I swear its the editing and audio that go with it.  I love hearing the stories of struggle to make it.  It really made me want to be an olympic athelete or even a better pole dancer now!

Theres a brand by Kristin Novasad called Bling it On.  She does alot of the tops and bottoms and puts the swarowski crystals on them.  She does really awesome work!

You can check out Kelly Magilia Couture.  She makes some amazing things to perform in.

I know for me, I make all my own stuff.  I usually buy some prefab stuff and decorate it myself.  I also try dance stores as well.

My tastes vary from APC to Miranda Lambert.  Ive done a few Slipknot  songs and some James Brown as well.  Im really into APC, I swear ive danced to most of thier songs.  My BSB back video was The Noose by APC.  Counting Bodies Like Sheep is my song at the gym, it totally gets me fired up.

For me if the song 'speaks' to me and seems workable, I will pole to it.  Right im thinking about using 'Like A Boss' by Slim Thug for an upcoming competition.

I like to have a playlist with me as a warm up set, music to pump me up.  I have one song on my playlist that helps calms my nerves and makes me laugh.  I listen to The Lonely Islands Like A Boss during warm up.

Pole Pressure does alot of open mixers and open poles.  On the 21st they are having an open house so you can really check out thier locations.  Im thinking about coming by to the Capitol Hill location on Saturday.

Tinu from Pole Spin was having this problem as well.  I dont know what happened or how it was resolved.

Ive run an event and been able to donate to two wonderful organziations.  I have not had a problem where they wanted to accept my donation anonymously.  They have both have been very supportive and see that pole dancers have a huge heart.

The two I have raised money for were both local chairites for me The Red Devils (Towson, MD) and PCOS Challenge (DC).  PCOS Challenge is based in my area but reaches to women everywhere.  Im apart of PCOS Challenge as well, which made it easy to slip in and promote and talk about pole and what its done to help handle my PCOS.

It can be.  I will tell you that when I did Americas Got Talent, I had to sign a Dangerous Acts waiver before I could be booked for a city.

I uploaded mine last night.  Id put my link out there but YT is banned at work (fun ruiners!).  If you go to my main page http://www.youtube.com/minicoopergrl  it should be the first video that pops up.

the idea came to me while I was driving home Thursday.  It looked good when I editited it but its hard the be the performer and run video at the same time.

Eventhough you dont go to a studio, you can still sign up for thier newsletter.  Im signed up for all the major ones in my area so I can get info of whats coming into town etc.  Also one of the studios always list submission due dates for upcoming comps.

It really depends on what your comfortable telling them.  I did a gig at a strip club as a special judge, I was there for about 2hrs and made a flat rate of $100.

If you have a full time job, go by that hourly wage.  Plus consider your travel time, pole set up, warm up etc.

I start out with a big list of songs I like and then start to narrow it down.  I usually have songs on my list that Ive been wanting to do but its just not the right time to bring it out.  Ill listen to them and if I can get a few combos at some points, then I know its workable then it passes the first round.  I always pick a song that just speaks to me.  You will know it when you hear it.

When I did Gunpowder and Lead, I had been wanting to do that one for years!  But everytime I would tinker with it, it never felt right.  This year it finally felt like it was really workable.

Another good tip, be prepared to listen to the song A LOT!  I listen to my routine music so much before a performance/comp that by the time its over I dont want to hear the song for at least 6 months!

Chem is right, Erica is gone from PS.  I kinda had gotten the hint during PoleCon.  I do hope customer service is just as good now.

I have a star stand alone and I got it problem free.  Ive been using it since I got it and it only takes about 5min to have it fully set up.

I have the Braun epliator.  I bought it mostly b/c I really do hate shaving.  its great for under the chin since I get a big chunk of them thanks to PCOS.  But im having a hard time with my legs.  It hurts like hell and have no idea how to get the pain managable.  Then I get to a point where it doesnt grab all my hair and I have to go back.

I had the same problem when I got mine opened.  Now they are easy to pop in.  I think the hole where the tip is should be a bit bigger and maybe particular pieces should have a groove at the top and those are where they go near the lip where you put the pin in to lock in place.

Theres a new studio right near LAX called Pole Moves.  Some workshops and privates where held there.  I went in there with some friends and its a cute, initimate studio.  She also has the mats down that are used for wrestling and cheer so they are pretty tough.

to me it seemed very last minute that Felix couldnt perform.  If she couldnt from the begining then they wouldnt have booked her for the showcase KWIM?
