Yay very cool! I am Kesarini on IG too. Find me on there. One good way to find polers is to see who people follow and go from there. So you could see who I follow and also follow people you like, then see who they follow and so on. What’s your username?

This was not my experience at all. I didn’t know anyone and found roommates through a friend. And they were all awfully nice people and I had a great time hanging out with them.

Additionally I met some Studio Veena folks(hi pretties!) and that was a GREAT experience too. Same for some Instagram people. Infact it was so many cool people I feel I didn’t have enough time to spend with everyone.

I also thought the pole stars were all awfully nice when I talked to them. I think they hang out together because they know each other and are friends, I don’t think it’s because they don’t want to hang with commoners.

Agreed about non pole workshops being too full. And agreed about privates perhaps being more beneficial.

Often I find people are just shy with strangers, especially if they are in a group they have no incentive to talk to one. But when I approached someone first I only felt love and warmth that I love this pole community for.

My dogs don’t chew but I didn’t want them licking the pole because of grip products I put on there. I bought bitter apple spray from the pet store and sprayed it on the floor around the pole. They stay away from that smell and stay away from the pole

Physics tells us you need more force to lift more mass. So if some things don’t come easily to you, it’s because you need much more strength than someone skinnier to execute the same move. It is what it is, nothing you can change.

I personally see it as something I need to deal with, and I almost look at it positively. All my extra weight is making my body get stronger. I’ll lose weight in due time, meanwhile I might as well milk it for all it’s worth.

As for the girls who don’t have the same struggles, I agree with others that they have their own struggles. Ignore them and focus on your journey.

I don’t understand how she could get into ayesha without going through the steps; invert > inverted crucifix > caterpillar > inverted D > ayesha. That’s how it’s taught at our studio atleast. I would go into the private giving her the benefit of doubt, if she thinks she is strong enough maybe she is. But then if she gets stuck at a step, for example, can’t execute a caterpillar, there’s no way you can go forward. I suggest saying something like “ok, let’s work on that step 2 again” and keep repeating the caterpillar till you have to, even if it takes the whole hour. She can’t hold that against you, she needs to hold each step for atleast a second before getting into the next one for practical purposes.

What helps me is tilting to one side and pushing with the top part of the thigh on top, pulling with the top of the thigh at the bottom instead of being completely parallel and just squeezing the thighs together.

For me the trick was understanding the push and pull. I was just trying to hold on very tight with my knee earlier and it wasn’t working. Then I started thinking about it as pulling from the knee grip and pushing from the waist/hip and it worked! Good luck.

I see what you mean. Chromecast definitely needs to evolve in terms of supported apps.

For the purpose of streaming videos off this site, I’ve noticed a lag with Chromecast, although now that I think about it I was using a chromebook which is hardly a high performance machine. So your experience might be better with a better computer.

No problem so far streaming straight from YouTube, but I understand that’s not an option for SV.

You will get there. I’m overweight, out of shape, and not very wrong. A month ago a pole hold looked impossible to me. Now, I can not only hold it, I can also get out of it in a controlled way.

I have tried many exercises and I’ve noticed nothing had conditioned my body as fast as pole. I subscribe to the lessons here and do the strength exercises often. I like how Veena has beginner versions for most everything. You gotta start somewhere to get where you want. The beginner versions are that first step. Don’t get disheartened and pole on.

I have to say I disagree with this.

An Apple TV is $99 (starting). A chromecast is $35. You need Apple products to seamlessly sync with Apple TV. You can use anything with a Chromecast (an iPhone, a windows laptop, an Apple laptop, Android device, Windows phone etc.)

Why do you think the Apple ecosystem gives you more options to stream content than a Chromecast?

I guess I kinda didn’t get it. I agree it started with a good theme and then it kinda felt apart. If the whole thing had been about the interaction between these two characters they established in the beginning, the kiss might have made more sense.
