  • Hmm that's a good question actually, I don't actually remember if it was painful when she tried to reposition my hips but I can have my bf try to do it for me to see if it hurt and also I will try to see if i can square them with my knees bent. I am texting fleur about it she knows all sorts of stuff like this but ugh i am so disappointed! 🙁

Ohh the dreaded carthweel! I worked on this thing for months endlessly until i finally got it thanks to veena's tip about not bringing my head past the pole on my way down, and like the person who posted before me said i was having problems getting my head all the way down….i would feel like it was low enough but then i'd go watch the video and my head was barely moving haha. i would say those are the two biggest hurdles to overcome so once you can figure those things out you should be well on your way to getting it in no time! good luck!

  • I'm a total nerd but in my journalism classes we are currently discussing how important it is to have all sides of the story before making any assertions about a situation….I think people should have taken the time to find out all the information before accusing them of calling us "strippers" which isn't true. STL….I feel like if the breast cancer awareness people saw this thread they would probably be even less likely to take money from pole fundraisers because of how we're all suddenly talking about it and they didn't even do anything – they really didn't do anything distaseful if they're just honoring their rules about accepting donation money. I highly doubt that this is the only time they have ever not accepted a donation, I am sure there have been other non-pole related groups that have probably gotten turned down for some reason or another. Money is money but they most likely have a standard set of rules as to how they go about accepting their donations, and someone didn't look into it far enough to make sure their donation would be accepted. And maybe they are anti-pole even though they have not called us "strippers", but it's an organization that benefits thousands of women (a lot of whom would probably would be interested in pole) and our donation money goes primarily toward them getting access to medical care etc and not the people who run the organization. Even If they had called us strippers, I would still donate because it's not about the people who run it, it's about the women and their families who benefit from it, and as women I feel we should look at that as the bottom line.

I would looove to go to this but…I am going to have to most likely pass….some of you know already I was laid off from my job and then I fractured my foot shortly after so I haven't been working in a long time, my foot is supposed to be healed fully after Valentine's Day so I'm going to start looking for something then but I don't think I'll have enough time to save up money to go by then 🙁 but if anything changes I'll keep you guys posted I would love to even just fly in for a night for the show and maybe I can just sleep on the floor of someone's room haha I'll keep you guys posted, cross your fingers maybe I will win the lottery before April and I can go and buy everyone a round of cocktails too! 🙂

I think it gives people trouble because a, you have a little bit of added weight, a b you are positioned a little bit differently in heels so you might have to adjust the way you get into an invert and it's harder to cheat it if you have heels on (not saying you're cheating but I have seen it happen before) I would suggest doing the monkey hang Amber has in one of her videos with the heels on so you can prep your body to get used to inverting, like the person before me said it most likely is you just need a little bit more conditioning to get it, but I have had this problem many times before and I don't consider myself to "master" a move unless I can do it in heels 🙂

I think I know what you're describing because Alethea showed us something exactly like it or very similar to it in her sexy flexy workshop…the way she instructed it if I remember correctly was to have your inside hand on the pole and then the outside hand comes onto the pole as your bring the outside leg around to snap yourself onto it, the inside hand stays on the pole the whole time, I haven't done this in a long time but I was going to do my first cast free pole practice today so I can try to do it and see if I remember how she showed us and make a video for you to see if it's the same thing you're describing?

I made a tutorial video yesterday but I might go back and do a photo tutorial instead because my camera isn't really high tech enough to pick up the detail of the lashes on my eyes so I might redo it, I'm gonna watch the video now and see if it looks usable or not!

Trena that is really good advice! I will do a tutorial on applying the strip lashes and also applying individual ones since a lot of women have never used them but they are actually easier to apply in my opinion. And I think I might try to also do a stage makeup/performance makeup tutorial as well while I'm at it since I'm pretty much immobile lol
