Men are simple creatures! I think he would pleased just watching you stand next to the pole in linger or nothing at all honestly! Men don't hold us to the same standards we hold ourselves to so we can do pretty much anything as long as we are scantily clad and they would eat it up. The best I have for you is IGNORE HIM! When you're doing floorwork, make sure you are having a good time dragging your arms across your body, touching your leg, etc. If you can ignore him and give off the sense you are doing this to appreciate your own body and he is just lucky to be watching then he will be putty in your hands 🙂 good luck!

I use them when necessary but I didn't even buy my own grip aid until march this year. I just wiped my hands off every five seconds but when i started doing performances i realized that wasn't going to work in front of a room full of people. However I never use of the sticky ones that improve grip on my hands, just ones that help with sweat. For performances I do use grip aid where needed but at home I almost never use it. I am of the school of thought that they can help in a performance/competition where you don't know what the poles will be like but you probably shouldn't use it when you're trying a move for the first time. I have heard a lot of girls become overly dependent on it and it can also trick you into thinking you have a move in your arsenal when it's actually just the grip aid making it seem like you have the proper strength etc. The only time I use them at home is during the summer when it's hot and I am sliding everywhere but again it's for moves that I have mastered without any grip aid.

Wow this sounds like a really cool idea for a studio! But I don't think Veena's lessons have been around that long though….

Ohhh online dating…so i was in the same boat as you and just out of a relationship and feeling lonely etc…my aunt met her husband on POF so I secretly signed up for it and didnt tell anyone because I was worried about all the stigmas/meeting someone crazy/etc. My boyfriend sent me a message on there after being on the site for only a few days, we ended up talking and that was two years ago and we are still together, he is the most perfect match for me I have had compared to any other guys I've dated. POF is free so you should just sign up since you have nothing to lose, I do agree there can be some weirdos out there but you have just as good of a chance of meeting a weirdo in a bar that you do online. It's almost easier to filter people online because you can see their photos and profile and that puts out more information about them right off the bat than you would most likely get from them at a loud bar. But you should try it out, even if you end up going on some dates that flop at least it gets you out of the house for a night 🙂

I get into it from a regular invert, gemini is easiest but it's not easiest for me. That's pretty much the only way I ever go into it….if you watch my video titled "Pole art" I do it somewhere around the first minute or so…hope this helps!

This is going to sound jerky and I so don't mean it to sound jerky because I will redo challenges too, we did already have an aerial pole challenge and an 80's song challenge a while back but as I said totally fine with a re-do 🙂 some other ideas:

Dance to a song in pants

Dance to a song and include the top 5-6 moves you are the most proud of accomplishing or that you feel are your best moves

    Classical music/something only instrumental

Music that is opposite of what you normally choose (I never dance to rap or hip hop so that's what I would pick, etc)

    Madonna song

An "alter ego" challenge – pick a song and outfit that represents your sexy side, naughty side, dominatrix side, diva side, rockstar side…the list goes on

i am so sorry to hear this news 🙁 i post tons of un-pole related things on here (and as a result everyone knows way more than they need to about my crotch) so don't feel bad the veeners are always here for each other no matter the topic. i will keep you in my thoughts and i know pole seems impossible but it can be great therapy to put on a sad song and just dance without the camera on. <3

Yep Bace is right be careful of your wrist placement, as you get stronger it will not rest on the pole as you will be able to hold yourself away. Even though you didn't mention your wrist it's a good thing to know if you're a beginner. You can try to wear weight lifting gloves to protect your palms which also can protect your hands from calluses just be sure not to get the grippy kind if you are working on spins 🙂 I have some suede ones from target that work well for pole.
