oh I was wondering if it also works without switching, because for me it´s easier to grab directly the opposite leg. so it´s possible right?

The Princess Grip is great for some combos and I like it for SM Splits
The forward/chinese grip feels uncomfortable for me and I think it´s not sooo pretty. I also like the elbow grip, but haven´t done it a lot

I like that stretch poleprincess described 😀 I have another one, which will help you with the final position:
stand in front of your pole (heels touching pole/ back is facing the pole), grab the pole with both hands above your head in a cup grip (thumb facing down). Lean a bit forward and try to slide with one foot up to your hands.couldn´t find a better picture: http://imgs.sthlmsfinest.com/blogEntryImages/1056625.jpg
socks will help you with sliding 🙂 -
I would love to be able to do that trick, too. 😀
I´ve tried it already, but it felt like my hips were in the wrong positon. i can nearly straighten my leg in a cocoon, but it´s much harder in that position (at least for me)
I also do it a bit differently, everyone grabs the foot with one hand and then switches the hands, I grabbed it directly with the other hand. but maybe this is way my position seems wrong…
have you seen anastasia doing that move? she uses spinning mode and hers looks perfect 🙂

MemberApril 11, 2012 at 2:40 pm in reply to: What’s this, and how do you get into it?woow, this looks so unreal. I saw it on facebook this morning, too. I´m sure I´m not flexible enough, but I need to try that 😀

I will soon have my first competition, too! But I already had a little performance at my grandpa´s birthday ^^
The others already had great tipps. Try to practice your routine also with the grip aids you want to use and with the same warm-up you will do for the comp.
Try to finish you choreo early, so that you can dance it again and again. Then practice it until you don´t need to think about the next move.

thanks tiggertail 🙂 I´m glad you all like my website, it was so much work as I´m a beginner when it comes to websites
-
lol I didn´t notive that Angela (JelliCrew) was still logged in at my laptop ^^
The post above was written by me xD

thanks 🙂 I can´t wait to start my classes, I´ve teached before pirvately for about 1 year, but this is so much more exciting.
One girl will come to practice 5 days with me, because she doesn´t live in Germany, this will be soo great and I also already have a few announcements for my first free trial class.
I hope everything will work out well 😀 Would be great to see you in my little studio!
-
you can also practice it from the floor. just pull your feet off the ground (like hangman)
-
how was your class? and how far did you get with the air sm or even deathlay?
-
i have a tutorial on the deathlay: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjdmWAgMlcA
My pole is top-loading, so I don´t get close to the ceiling. I also do it from a chopper, but you can see that I´m even further away.
It´s also possible from a superman, but the problem is the same as with the chopper: a bit further away.
I learned my Aerial Shoulder Mount, just by trying again and again until I had the strength. I think it´s easier from a superman, because you have a bit more momentum.
I would first learn it from the floor withour momentum, then from superman and then from other poses like Figurehead. Practicing from sitting is others suggested is also a good exercise and you can slowly place your hands higher
-
also stretching 🙂 I started to work on my flexibility after already one year of pole dance, I´m glad always was quite flexible so it´s not such a big problem ^^
-
i once used that grip to flip directly into a superman. i think I saw Becca doing it. I really like that grip variation, too
-
can´t wait to see your combo, legend!
-
just a little combo: Split Grip Marion Amber to Superman: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQGm4-ZffX8&list=UUv21GYODaK-XxO-oYg_o_-A&index=1&feature=plcp
Maybe some of you would like to try it, too (sorry for my ugly Marion Amber in this video ^^ )
-
can´t wait to see the different entries!
-
you lucky girl! It´s very complicated to teach here in Germany, too many laws xD
Good luck with your little studio! 🙂
-
very nice design! I think you should just add some more information like prices, do you teach groups or only one-on-one classes etc. And I couldn´t find your company details, I think the laws for websites might be the same as here in germany.
It should include your name, adress, email, tax number and a disclaimer can be good, too. There are some websites which create it for you, you just have to fill in some information about you and then you can copy it
-
congrats =) I´m so happy for you! Did you already start teaching in your studio?

MemberJanuary 31, 2012 at 3:43 pm in reply to: My competition routine – please critiqueI really loved your routine. It fitted so well to the music, you had an "easy" intro which I always like and also showed some more unpopular tricks like the u-bend!
as you already noticed your execution wasn´t always perfect, but still very pretty. =)
you did a great job!

wow 4 hours is a lot Amy! I think my endurance is really not the best, I maybe should work a bit more on that
-
it helped me a lot to film myself to get this trick. so I could slowly correct my position step by step until i felt balanced
