Hi, thanks for the replies. LatinPoler, I do have the Fit and Bendy DVDs, and I like them. Veena, I’ll try your 30 days to flexy program. Thanks!

I had a bit of this same issue with my pole at home. My pole dancing instructor told me that happens to some pole dancers. ~~~ I already have a supply of GRRRIP, but iTAC2 really helps when I need it.

Welcome! I’ll be 54 this year. I started at 50. I make sure to eat right and exercise (running, weight lifting) as well as pole. That helps me to be just as strong (and sometimes stronger) than women younger than me. As Veena said, age is just a number, and it’s just a number if you take care of yourself. HAVE FUN!!

Veena, Thank you so much for making the video. Like Ultema said, I too was recently taught the Juliet Spin in a class where I take pole dancing lessons. However, I need much more practice at home to get it right. Your detailed instruction is perfect! THANK YOU!

Hello, Veena! YES, pretty please with sugar on top??!! THANK YOU! I would love that, and I know that others who want to learn the Juliet Spin would love it too. There is no adequate instruction for the Juliet Spin available on YouTube. (I’ve checked.) Either they simply show people the move, OR, they explain the move, but they explain it too fast with not enough detail. Your instructional videos are thorough and easy to follow. That’s what pole students need! THANK YOU!

Thanks for the videos. I’ve seen those, but I was hoping for one with more detailed instruction. Veena spoils us!

If you have the finances to start your own pole business, and that is your ultimate goal, then forget about the Masters degree and go for full-time pole dancing and competitions. I quit my job to become a full-time writer, and I would never go back to working for a boss. That was my dream. So if getting good at pole dancing AND opening a pole studio is your dream – go for it. OTHERWISE, don’t skip the Masters degree for pole dancing. Do the Masters degree AND pole dancing. Also, don’t get caught up in what other people are doing (how good someone else is at pole dancing) if you know, deep down, that putting a Masters degree on hold is NOT what you should be doing. DON’T LET ENVY CLOUD YOUR JUDGEMENT. ~~ Think very hard about your future. Right now, you’re 28. Someday you’re going to be 40, 50, 60. Think hard about that. That is unless you plan on living with your parents forever. (Also, I hope it’s truly okay with your parents if you move back home. When a child moves back home, that changes the dynamics of the parent’s home. Are you being fair to them?) I don’t mean to harsh, but I believe in keeping it real.

Veena, I forgot to thank you for helping to erase the myth that mothers are overweight, stressed out and not getting any sex. LOL! I had fun erasing that myth when my kids were young and I would walk around in bikinis on the beach. 🙂

I’m a mother of two adult children. I didn’t get into pole dancing until I was 50. So my kids were grown when I started. I had children because I wanted children deep within my soul, and, furthermore, I’m glad I had children. I’m glad I have kids and a husband who love me. ~~~ Now that my children are grown, I can do whatever the hell I want to do. However, it wasn’t like I was in some sort of jail when my children were young. ~~~ People who don’t have children always feel sorry for people who do have children. One word – DON’T. Trust me, some of us are just fine and always have been.
